What would those circumstances be?

pay him very little,

make sure he doesnt slow down butcher's development

any negative news relating to him and invlolving gambling/drinking contract becomes invalid

dont give him the contract to begin with if he isn't in a good head space

make sure the playing group is ok with it

He hasnt yet stopped gambling - he even said playing pokies isnt gambling ... wtf?

... would not have him anywhere near our club!

Napolean invaded Russia - FAIL
Hitler invaded Russia - FAIL

Carlton drafted Fev - FAIL
Brisbane drafted Fev - FAIL

I would much rather see PAFC invade Russia than draft Fev. We would have more chance of success!!

In other news, Jason Akermanis is rumoured to be our new PR Manager, Ben Cousins our new medico and we are looking at trading for Brian Lake on recommendation of our new Assistant coach Nathan Eagleton.

Because we need all that on top of what other problems we have.

That said despite our club quiet possible imploding by round 14 next year, we would be pulling regular crowds of 35K+.

So to all that say no to Fev now have the reasons that he has problems of the field, none which relate to his actual performance on the field.

If Fevola was kicking 80plus goals with the problems that he has off the field, everything would be swept under the carpet.

But because he was ask to leave a club that he loved who then had to pack his bags and play in Brisbane, its no wonder that his habits had become worse, away from his family and most likely didn't like playing with Brown as well.

Its not to late to resurrect Fevola. What IF Fevola knocked on our door wanting to play......do you ignore him them?

Fevola can still be a Key Forward in any side, providing that he is the focal point of any forward line.

But I am afraid that we missed the boat when he went to Brisbane. He would have been a better pick up than Shultz.....

Fevola was one that could win the game off his own boot.....who can do that now for us.......not a brass razoo...

why would a team as young and as crap as port want a fwd over the age of 30??

he didnt help Carlton much in 05,06,07

He would have been a lot more expensive than Schulz back in the day, and we still had to pay Motlop. Wasn't going to happen, the short window Fev had to rebuild has passed. That said a forward line with Motlop & Fev in it and Westhoff as 3rd tall would have been as entertaining and frustrating as any I can imagine.

Ridiculous call. We would have had to give up our most promising KPP (Trengove?) and our first round pick (Butcher). at what our future would look like without these two. Not to mention Fev taking half of our reduced salary cap.

Schulz is also a lot younger, and will be part of our next premiership assault - if all things go to plan.

Of course, there is the possibility that the GC and GWS will become super teams and we won't get near a flag for the next 7-8 years.

Dougie Hawkins reckons the Doggies should get Fev to play up forward next year with Big Bad Bazza!

Good luck with that!:thumbsu:

Not happy to say right now, if I would be happy - or not happy. If managed correctly I dont think it could be such a bad thing.

Is that what you want at your club though.

A bloke over 30 who has to be managed???

Screw being a host for some footy feel good story. Unlike some Richmond supporters I found it unsatisfying to be the "Lets give a bloke another chance because he needs football" club.

Gold FM look set to pay him a nice wage despite never offering a decent thought in his life so let those organisations come to this poor "victims" rescue.

all true

my point is the club is wooden spoon, and fans arent coming

at the end of the day, can we not forget that this is about entertainment, and quite clearly our players are not entertaining the crowds

This is what my post was all about.........you can add Ben Cousins to that....

You cant tell me that it wouldn't attract fans through the gate....

That's Entertainment....

With your tradition your club would not take a short route to that.

Having a bunch of supporters holding signs up "Fevolution" for a bloke who is just going to choose a club based on a lifeline is not what you want. At the end of his football he will ingratiate himself back with Carlton in some way as that is where he made his reputation.

The extra supporters is for VFL clubs who were keen to get him but an AFL club wouldnt want to go down that road.

Better to entertain with talented young players. The bloke seems to have a selfish disposition that would pick up very quickly if you needed him in some area and would act on it.

I would imagine a number of Port Adelaide stallwarts hitting the roof if you went in that direction.

Don't want Fev at our club, an embarrassment both on and off the field. Better chance of Fev replacing Sam Newman on the Footy Show than us Recruiting that clown

Not gonna play Chad, so let's draft Fev? ******ed rumour.

Yes anyone that believes this trash is ******ed. considering Chad can't get a game. Bigest load of trash out there.

Ahh, those brave, vocal stallwarts who stand up and say something when it it patently clear that what is broken needs fixing

yes, i've had to remove the cotton wool from my ears many a time over the past 4 years because of them hitting the roof

oh, wait

sigh. football appears to be a business

Does PAFC even have any stalwarts any more? Greg Phillips, Leslie, Abernathy, Wanganeen, Tredrea, Eckerman, Obst, Boyd (sigh) Hayes, Filetic, Woite?

I guess no one wants to be the Josh Francou do they.

I mean we trot them out for the team of the century, and obligatory black tie dinners, and testamonials, but really, are they even a part of the club anymore?

If they were, could those players have gotten us to this point?

Not a bad thing if you don't have ex players running to the media putting your coaching staff under pressure. Crows have McDermott lurking.

At least you don't have the ex player like Doug Hawkins where they need to embrace him but want a million miles between his opinions and themselves.

Doug had a beer with Fev and enjoyed his company and now wants the club to invest in him.

Does Josh have a go at you does he. We dont hear him over here. We just know he made a buck through hair transfusion.
