anyone starting their career mode off in the A-league or another small league to build your Virtual Pro?

If so what cheap young guns have your brought into your team?

Playing with Adelaide I got leckie back after the 1st season...obvious choice

tried to get Tommy Oar but his team wont sell him ("no depth in his position"...CRAP!!!)...tommy is a absolute Jet in the game and grows heaps after 1 season up to lvl 75

Dont bring them back to the A League you will stunt there growth !! haha Another way of being cheap is going on Budget Allaction and putting all your Budget into Weekly wages and loaning players cheap.

I must have got lucky! I reckon I'm rubbish at Pro difficulty and up still... but second go I won that challenge 5-0 :o

Loving this game. Career mode with AFC Wimbledon and just now becoming patient in my attacks on world class difficulty.

I was less than impressed when my keeper (best player) wanted out and when i didn't transfer the board overruled me, but the storylines are great

1-0 online getting extremely lucky against someone clearly better than me (they hit the post at least twice and had plenty more shots)

Quick question gents.

There was numerous packs you could pre order the game with which determined what kind of Ultimate Team cards you received on a monthly basis. I obviously didn't pre order it and I was just wondering can you still get a better pack or would only the standard game be issued to those who didn't pre order??

Every year I start a manager mode with the worst League 2 team hoping to get them into the EPL and champions league on legendary difficulty but its just so damn hard to create goal chances since the players suck.

Hold the analogue stick up and the ball will curve down. Hold it down and the ball will curve up. That's what I found out anyway.

What are people's thoughts on holding R1 (whatever it is on 360) on Free Kicks?

I used to do it all the time in FIFA 10 and FIFA World Cup 2010, but then they made it shit to use in FIFA 11...basically made it extremely inconsistent when used (or at least as far as I was concerned in using it).

Haven't really had enough close free kicks to test either use out in 12 yet. But does anyone else use R1 or not?

I always use L1/LB (direct shot) with curve around the wall, works 90% of the time.

Also if the distance is under 25 yards I usually try to kick it under the wall (L1/LB, forward on the left stick, low power), always catches the keeper off guard.

For free kicks just outside the box, you wanna either drive it in the bottom corner if you have high shot power, or curl it around the wall because its just about impossible to dip it over. if you are at about 25 yards or over, aim about a meter inside the post (the one the wall is covering) hold forward on the analog stick and you usually want about 1 and a half power bars, slightly depends on your curve and shot power though.

Up and left is the best way to hold the stick. You don't want the ball to dip on a free kick (useful on corners), Xavi and Ribery are easy to score free kicks with. Would hit 9/10 with them on 11.

Horses for courses I guess. I play a heap with Bayern and I can not for the life of me hit a free kick with Ribery. Robben and Schweinsteiger on the other hand.... :D :D :D
