Played some ****** who just kept possession in his backline for 80 minutes cause he was up 2-0.

Sounds like every game I've played in Div 1

I've resorted to calling a second player and rushing the keeper and just madly chase them around the field...doesn't necessarily work too well but it keeps me slightly amused.

Purchased Hulk last night to fit into my Brazil side and make my side 5 stars. Bought him at the cheapest price I saw for the formation of 36,750 (saw him go for about 2K cheaper the other night so I'm not overly fussed at spending that). Although he's not at the right position (and there is no right position in my 4-2-3-1 formation) I snuck him in at ST replacing the underrated Lima.

Not knowing how he'd go but playing on the fact that his stats are just way too ridiculous not to have him.

First shot he had was too powerful for the goalkeeper to handle and ended up in the back of the net. 2nd shot was a beautifully curled free kick into the bottom right corner of the net. Ended up BOG in the first game he played with 2 goals and an assist.

I think he will fit in very well!

While hes been good in some games, for me he hasnt justified his pricetag, considering its almost 3 times any other player in the squad, and most games I actually prefer starting McGeady ahead of him.

Its easy to counteract that. Have a second player rush them, and then cut off the other angle.

While hes been good in some games, for me he hasnt justified his pricetag, considering its almost 3 times any other player in the squad, and most games I actually prefer starting McGeady ahead of him.

Is that a chemistry thing perhaps? I have him at 5 chemistry as he's got Welliton below him at CF and obviously they're both Brazilian as well as being Russian League players. I'd imagine just being in the same league but out of position potentially puts his Chemistry for you at 3 (not knowing who else he's linked up with)? Which is obviously going to see significant performance dip (Like I had last year with Villa who was just terrible when his stats were outstanding).

So far am having a great time with him, his shot is deadly and very accurate and his passing is immaculate too. Works brilliantly in tandem with Welliton.

Pulled some random French silver ST called Lacazetta in a pack and thought nothing of it and sent him to club. Looked him up later on the database and he's worth 32k.

For me this year and my pack luck that's one of my best pulls . Wondering if it would be more profitable when I go on a pack binge soon to open silver packs not gold.

Julio Cesar is ultra-reliable.

I call bullshit on that. I had Cesar for ages because he was a gun for me on FIFA '12, but the amount of errors he was making in this game was ridiculous. Eventually lost patience and replaced him with Petr Cech, and since then I've been getting about a fifth of the stupid errors I got when I had Cesar.

What sort of errors? I've had him for 2 weeks now and he rarely makes any. The only ones would be my fault (I like to charge with my keepers at corners and get caught out sometimes with deep ones).

The likes of Szczesny and De Gea on the other hand ...

He's 9 chem for me...bought him as an RF which may have explained the price I got hIm for. Don't get me wrong, he's does some good things, Im probably judging him harshly because of his pricetag compared to the rest of my squad. I rotate him and McGeady, who cost 2k, at RF...last game I started McGeady he scored 4 in the first half so the Hulks been relegated to bench fodder currently

Difference in gameplay between UT and regular Seasons/offline is ridiculous.

Why would they create such a gulf? Makes casually jumping between UT and Seasons no fun at all.

Petr Cech is six times the price. Of course, he is an improvement.

But can't really complain about Cesar myself. Would only be a luxury upgrade for me.

I never really notice keepers to be honest. The only one I've ever noticed is Joe hart who is a god in FIFA.

I've found with 4-3-2-1 you can't play as wide tbh.
