Also, is there a chance that they are either referring to it going up on the US store at that time, or that they've struck a deal to release it worldwide at the same time on PSN? Because the time listed would make sense for a US update, but no so much UK.

Release date for demo says Tuesday the 11th of September. Yet we won't get it until the Wednesday or Thursday, but we SHOULD get it Tuesday as thats the release date.

Yeah I think so. I've been waiting for FIFA13 since about a month after FIFA12 came out.

It's only going to be about a 1GB download, so why not give it a go? Not going to do any harm to get a good look at the new gameplay enhancements and give yourself a little bit of time to get used to it before the game is released too.
