oh wow I hate the CPU

it's 2-2, i go to score the winner but rojas gets run down by a guy with like 40 for sprint speed and acceleration despite starting 10 metres in front, then the centre back passes, YES PASSES it back to the goalkeeper and the keeper picks it up.

WTFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

they then went on the counter attack, did freakish barca style passing and a few fancy flicks and runs got them an easy goal while i barely had time to change players, it was like all my defenders were blind and were wondering why the bell wasn't tinkling inside the ball

Nah, he just appeared out of nowhere after the end of the first season. It was awesome.

Will start to build as West Brom in career mode tonight, had fun with Juventus and Chelsea.Now I feel it's time to rise a lower team to the top.
 
Going to try and clinch the FA Cup/EPL double tonight with Man City. Accidently traded Aguero (put in what I thought was a ridiculous counter offer but Real Madrid accepted it) and then managed to get him back in the Jan window. He went up 2 points while he was away!
 
I can't defend for shit in this game.

I believe the AI has some sort of catch-up programming where if you score, the AI ramps up its skill.

I've definitely noticed that towards the end of a game, if the AI is trailing, they will start to be more aggressive and you can't get away with trying to run the clock down with passes across the back 4 because they'll pull off a freak tackle or interception.

You know what I dislike about this game? In previous versions of Fifa, if I was losing badly, sometimes I'd just go on a slide tackle rampage until I'd red carded half my side. On 13 it's really hard to get someone good with a slide tackle. Conversely, it's near on impossible to win a bloody free kick on this game! Have had two penalties in about a kazillion games.

One thing i like about this game is that most tackles turn into passes for the opposition.:rolleyes:

Just had Benzema roll his ankle next game Vermaelan rolls his ankle both out for 4 weeks then next game Cazorla breaks his collarbone out for 3 months, also had Chamberlain and Gundogan both get minor injuries. Nearly half way through the season I had only one injury and it was just a minor injury, sprained ankle, and within a 2 weeks half my starting 11 was either out or playing injured.

Also is anyone finding that if you attempt a slide tackle while behind/jostling you just go through them? Unlike last year were just a little touch and they would do a front flip and look like they broke their neck.

Change the ball in game settings. I haven't had any issues since I did that.
 
I really don't get the career menu. Only got the game yesterday, but where's all the stuff like upgrading your stadium and assistants and everything?

Yep. Trying to get Europe/Champion league spots so you get more money then you would otherwise finishing mid table, so you can get better players and scouts. Though scouting isn't as good as going out and luring the best 17-21 year olds already in the game to your team imo.

Of courseif you are in a league where you can't get into the Europe/Champions league you are looking for a long term plan so scouting is worthwhile especially if you are in League 1/2 as scouted players can usually walk straight into your starting 11.

They sorta took away the idea of building up your club. More just about managing finances (read - transfers) and winning titles now. Oh and scouting youth.

So glad I made the move to FIFA on PC this year so I don't have to put up with laggy menus and long load times. Career mode on console is literally unplayable for me because of the load times, especially during transfer windows.
