How cooked is the passing sometimes. I only ever do squad battles this year if there’s a daily/weekly objective it’s needed for. I set it to professional, score a couple early and then let the thing sit for a while but they ping the ball round like they’ve all been Chem carded and sitting on 99 short passing and vision. This is PROFESSIONAL. I don’t any other offline stuff but there’s no way I’d want to spend a game chasing the ball round on legendary or whatever.
 
I’ve toyed around with the time finishing a bit and can do it when the ball is rolling right. Find it really difficult for lobbed balls though as it’s tough to tell if your player will be volleying it or heading it so the timing is difficult.

Conjured up this hybrid Serie A/Premier League squad. Packed Insigne, Mandzukic and Radja in the 2 Player Gold Upgrade packs today, as well as Matuidi who's on the bench. Packed IF Icardi a few days ago (sold for 160k) and sold Laca at an insane profit today (about 20k when he was booming). Been bloody lucky with pack luck lately. Only bought Alisson and the defence, bar Trippier.

Great pack luck. Good team too. Want Naing for my own calcio team.

Rivals rewards tonight. Went for the tradeable packs instead of cash for the first time. Got absolute zilch. Kovacic was best from elite one which was a mega pack, rare players pack and two premium gold players packs. Not happy.

Just had an epic online seasons match where I stole a draw in the dying moments. My opponent had the better of me and led 1 - 0 early on, I was slowly building, creating many chances but fluffing up when trying for goal. Early in the second half I was given a penalty kick thanks to his sloppy tackling. And I managed to stuff up the kick Travis Cloke style (well I didn't add enough power!). Thought my chance was gone, until he did a few sloppy tackles which resulted in a red card.

Which meant I was then able to waltz the ball through the midfield with ease, giving myself the perfect opportunity to cross and head the ball to the back of the net. The full time whistle blew seconds later.

Rubbish, isn't it? It's really put me off playing. Thinking I might even make the keeper's ability even higher.

Haha no I'm ok with it, I think a large part of it is if you can score a couple of goals early as the computer has to open up a lot more to attack which leaves a lot more space. If you can't, or concede early, it can be pretty frustrating. I still struggle to keep clean sheets because of some ridiculous finishing which is frustrating.

At the end of the day in Ultimate Team you get rewards for big wins so it doesn't upset me.

Haha, fair enough. Yeah I do usually score early so the comp is forced to bomb forward. I am strongly considering PES, but I probably won't enjoy it anywhere near as much.

I mean, I only beat United 3-1, but it wasn't a tough 3-1 win. I dominated for the most part in that too.

I've noticed in previous posts you change the settings to make it easier? You said you changed the computers pace for example. And I think you said you reduced your passing errors. No wonder it's easier....

Because the computer was knocking the ball around with ridiculous accuracy to the point where it was incredibly unrealistic. And my players couldn't hit a pass from three yards at points.

And their slow defenders would catch my players who have 95+ for pace and acceleration, so yeah, unrealistic.

I have increased the GK error to 55 (which makes them better), and I am scoring at least 4-5 goals a game. Imagine if it was still on 50...
 
So finally after signing a decent LM and RM pair (Maghoma and Kruse) with some decent pace, I'm starting to break ranks a bit and whack in some decent crosses. Climbed from 13th in January to 6th in March. Past FIFA's i've been able to rely on the current team etc. Really need to get the playoffs too, as i've failed my other requirements (haven't improved any youth products by +5, haven't increased finances by 30 mil or qualified for the FA Cup last 16)

I have increased the GK error to 55 (which makes them better), and I am scoring at least 4-5 goals a game. Imagine if it was still on 50...

It all makes a lot more sense now. Of course you're finding it easy if you're tweaking all that sort of stuff. Why do you reckon we're all complaining about the computer pinging it about if you went out of your way to adjust those settings manually?

When I complained that I couldn't get in behind because their defender would catch me, did you think to maybe point out you'd adjusted it, instead of your "Maybe you're just bad at FIFA 19" comment? :p

The other thing is the gameplay in FUT/online is designed to be way more challenging than the AI in career.

It still doesn't explain why I am burying 9/10 shots, especially when I have increased my shot error too.

It kind of does when you say you score a lot because you get in behind defences so easily..

Well, no.

Keeper ability has been increased, as well as my shot error.

The pass error, or sprint speed cannot correlate with the goalkeeper's ability. Surely you aren't implying they are linked?!
