Beams situation is obviously unlucky and can't be helped. But when you slowly gut your list to clean out the culture you become exposed to bad luck. If things go as expected, Bucks will coach his 4th year in a row of finishing lower on the ladder and not make finals in 2015.

He's not rebuilding, he appears to be slowly unbuilding your side.

The only player I think left with really good form ahead of him was Shaw. He melted down onfield, and after prior indiscretions he didn't have any favours left to call in

No i'm not saying that. It is the fact the pies did so poorly. Beams can't be helped obviously.

A half dozen less injuries in the last 2 months, and we might have scratched our way into the 8

It was a poor year, but I personally don't put that all on Bucks

Generational change hurts, and puts us in a vulnerable position while we wait for the kids to mature. That doesn't change the potential that they have, or the correctness of the course

Bucks is safe through to 2016 imo

Geelong have been going through the same process but done a lot better since players leaving have been on good terms, rather than forced trades due to personality clashes. They have also had a hand over period when the old star still plays, while the younger player is phased in rather than an October shock when 2-3 of your best 22 are gone by the end of trade week.

Nathan has not and will not translate from player to competent coach, needs a bit more than a brownlow medal to become a decent coach.
