Why does this still have a backfire tag on it? Lol!
Wait... so Bucks should be sacked because Beams' dad is dealing with major health issues?

Beams situation is obviously unlucky and can't be helped. But when you slowly gut your list to clean out the culture you become exposed to bad luck. If things go as expected, Bucks will coach his 4th year in a row of finishing lower on the ladder and not make finals in 2015.Wait... so Bucks should be sacked because Beams' dad is dealing with major health issues?

He's not rebuilding, he appears to be slowly unbuilding your side.
No i'm not saying that. It is the fact the pies did so poorly. Beams can't be helped obviously.Wait... so Bucks should be sacked because Beams' dad is dealing with major health issues?

The team is greater than the sum of all parts. I think Leon & Jolly should have gone around for another, Dawes would be handy now and Shaw was in your top 10 players. You rebuild too quickly and it can soon go into Melbourne territory (ok, maybe only for a year or two max, no ones that bad).Just out of interests sake, who that Bucks has swept aside during his wave of moral outrage would make us a lock for the top 8?
Jolly?
Didak??
Leon???
Daisy might have snuck into Carlton's top 10 in their B&F, couldn't keep them off the bottom tier
Dawes still hasn't proved himself beyond his chest puffing
...or do you rate Harry O that highly that you think he is the difference maker?
The only player I think left with really good form ahead of him was Shaw. He melted down onfield, and after prior indiscretions he didn't have any favours left to call in

Geelong have been going through the same process but done a lot better since players leaving have been on good terms, rather than forced trades due to personality clashes. They have also had a hand over period when the old star still plays, while the younger player is phased in rather than an October shock when 2-3 of your best 22 are gone by the end of trade week.

Or last longer!Geelong are not the rule, they are the exception
You don't always get to choose how a rebuild starts, or why you need to start down that road
All you can do is react sooner (like Hawthorn) rather than later (like St Kilda)
I think Buckley has taken the harder road. The one that risks his personal position, to benefit the team. That alone makes him deserving of respect. Compare that to Hird and Voss, that threw their club aside based on their own egos
Who would have thought that Bucks would have been the more humble of the three?![]()
You mean our 19's don't you?![]()

Just had a peak at the Collingwood board... the season hasn't even started yet and Pie fans are calling for Bucks to be sacked immediately![]()
Not sure about spoon but I have the Collingflogs finishing Bottom 4.Good thread.
Gone this year.
Pies to win the spoon and remember I said it.

Should have gone last year, he's not going to succeed as a coach.

He's in there to bring the kids through. When you saw them against your lost a few weeks back, I dare say you could have spotted one or two that looked passable![]()
