I work for a bookmaker so all I'm doing is thinking about Geelong in the grand final. I am so excited. I'm so tired too. Could only sleep for about 3 hours last night. At least I'll have a good night sleep tonight, and a massive day of drinking tomorrow.

Re: 24 hours to go........

I'm so nervous.
It's all I can think about. ARGH!
I'm just wondering what I'll do tomorrow.
Wake up early for the GF breakfast? Sleep in until just before the game?
Watch the pre-game stuff in my bedroom or in the lounge room?
Put my guernsey on when I wake up? Or just before the game?
Sit in a recliner or on the couch? Eat food during the game?
Have the Dog inside or outside? Have my phone with me or not?
Bring my laptop with me or not?
See, I'm not taking any of this well!
I have no idea what to do!

The rest of the family is used to us losing GF's, but since I've only been alive for one and watched two, I'm not!
So I will have no idea what to do after the game if we lose...
:(

Sleep as long as you can. I'm going to sleep till 12 and be primed and ready for a big night. Grand final breakfasts are a waste of time. You just get drunk too early and can't go all night.

Watch the pre-game stuff in my bedroom or in the lounge room?
Bedroom. Psyche yourself up for your game by yourself.

Put my guernsey on when I wake up? Or just before the game?
Wear it to bed.

Sit in a recliner or on the couch?
Much of a muchness. Whatever is the number one seat in your house.

Eat food during the game?
As much as you can, but have it all ready to go beforehand so you don't miss anything.

Have the Dog inside or outside?
If your dog can sit and not be annoying then let it be in. With everyone carrying on and yelling, he'll probably go and hide anyway.

Have my phone with me or not?
Leave your phone on before the game. Get all your pregame good luck messages... Turn your phone off during the game so you dont get any distractions or people sending you stupid messages if Geelong start to struggle... If we win, turn it back on and soak up the glory. If we lose, leave it off.

Bring my laptop with me or not?
Don't have your laptop. You don't want to miss a thing.

See, I'm not taking any of this well!

Glad I could be of service. Go cats.

Too young to get drunk, but I guarantee if we win I will be staying up all night. So sleeping in until 12 sounds good.

That would be the recliner on the right, it's directly in front of the TV.

My dog is a Border Collie, so he's black & white (we almost called him Strauchnie) so he might have to stay outside since the house will be decked out in navy & white - he might blend in. Odds are with all the screaming he'll get scared anyway. And he nudges people on the arms when we're not giving him attention, which is annoying.

Good idea, I'm going to change my ringtone to Eye of the Tiger and my wallpaper will be a picture of the GFC logo for some added support.

Glad I could be of service. Go cats.
Thanks! :p

Re: 24 hours to go........

My stomach is in knots, I'm going to be an absolute nervous wreck tomorrow.

Re: 24 hours to go........

My NSW born missus wants to go to the movies instead of hang around while I abuse the TV. I told her the kids will not get fed, watered or changed if that's the case.

I am edgy too - I just want time to go quicker and 2.30 to come and just get it on. I also have the drama of finishing up in my current job and starting a new one on Monday. Bit of a surreal experience all around at the moment.

Re: 24 hours to go........

Buying my slab of Carlton drafts tonight, will head over to me mates, some how have a barbie then, before i will know it the game will be over and will either be
drunk, in tears and have a empty feeling
or
drunk, and have a feeling i cant describe
thin line between pleasure and pain

Re: 24 hours to go........

I was way more nervous for the Prelim than i am for the GF for some unknown reason. I feel very calm about this week, where as last week, i was a mess leading up to the Collingwood game.

Collingwood factor. I completely understand, and my nerves are nothing like last week either.

It's the pure fear of losing to Collingwood (the unfathomable) and having to be in contact with their supporters afterward.

I was going to go into hibernation for a quite some time had we of lost the Prelim.

Re: 24 hours to go........

im sweating like a paedophile at a wiggles concert.

ahahaha...wrong on so many levels but i like it:)

i have had a week off this week so it has been the longest week of my life!!!

i just want to get to the 'G and hear the anthem and then see the cattas (hopefully) kick away. i couldnt handle the closeness of the prelim so hopefully we do it comfortably!!!

might need a few beers tonight and in the morning to take the edge off it...argh, nervous, as is evident by my rambling haha

GO CATS:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
