I thank our higher spirit for not facing either adelaide or collingwood.

direct all traffic through hall and have vultures around him like we did today.

make as many contests as possible and slow the game down at regular intervals and then suddenly play like geelong.

hope lrt doesnt have a shocker and play goodes in defence just in case.

pray jude bolton gets away with the suspension.

I like this plan, but can we just drink the spirit ?

I dont want to see Goodes playing at all in the finals. He has OP and due to this injury he is pretty close to useless on the field. I would much rather have one of our fringe players (Grundy, Veszpremi) than Goodes. Grundy and Veszpremi can offer something while Goodes is just a waste as he offers nothing to the team at the moment.

Also with players like O'Loughlin, O'Keefe and Playfair coming back into the team i cant see any room for Goodes.

even if goodes stood around on the field like a scarecrow it would be more effective than grundy... goodes would drag the best tagger

grundy has to improve to be worthy to even look at goodes's shadow

veszpremi needs more time to string 4 quarters together

I say drop Ablett, and LRT, bring in ROK, MOL, and Playfair, and maybe with Buchanan or Bolton suspended, bring in another youngster to get some experience.

These are the guys who will be in finals contention (as in the first guys Roos will look at).

1. Ablett
2. Barry
3. Bevan
4. Bird
5. C.Bolton
6. J.Bolton
7. Buchanan
8. Crouch
9. Everitt
10. Goodes
11. Grundy
12. Hall
13. Jack
14. Jolly
15. Kennelly
16. Kirk
17. Malceski
18. Mattner
19. McVeigh
20. Moore
21. O'Keefe
22. O'Loughlin
23. Playfair
24. Richards
25. Roberts-Thomson
26. Veszpremi

- In Red are the guys who i think have a injury which is affecting their performance and will continue to do so until the end of the year.
- In blue are the guys who are currently injured who may or may not be ready for finals.

I dont think the guys in Red should play at all and the guys in blue are suspect as they may not be ready.

I'd rate Veszpremi a lot higher than that, especially after a 14-possie 4-goal blinder tonight.

EDIT: Oh, never mind, thought that was in order of preference, not alphabetical.

Wandered why Ablett was so high. :P

i don't think ablett is that injured

post-game interview... roosey said he was letting injured players rest (ala goodes and rok) and letting guys out of form more gametime, and he actually said ablett (as well as malceski)

so i think roo's was just taking precautions with guys in red

also how come kennelly isn't on that injured pile... he dislocates his shoulder every week and he is considered fit

Hope not for a draw between Saints and Bombers today, for we will face Collingwood if that occurs:eek:. Saints,Roos and Us will all finish on 50, we will be fifth with the higher percentage and the pies will be eighth. Surely not, the luck has been with us for most of the week

What? You want to drop one of our best players from yesterdays game. Not only that, drop him for a game where we'll most likely be playing North Melbourne, who has an entire team that is basically tall forwards?

If it's North, sure keep him in the team, but I don't think he'd add anything against the Saints.

If we play North it will be mentioned every two seconds. Much like Dwayne Russell assumed we all had alzeimers and kept repeating "The Swans won't know who they play until tomorrow afternoon."

Oh actually just realised, we now have as much right as North to bitch about not being fourth. Jason Akermanis touched a ball through, which was considered a goal to Porplyzia, in a 9-point game, that's a big call, and the Dogs could have gone on to win, which, if the Saints lose, would mean we would have been fourth. Oh the travesty.
