Tonights game Bulldogs vs Brisbane was one of the best umpired games i have seen all year, it was how finals games should be adjudicated no rash and silly free kicks and most important they let the game go and paid only obvious free kicks.
I hope to god we get the same result tommorow not for any type of advantage but just to have the game played and enjoyed by the fans on its merits without the usual frustration from the officials.
I dont normally have much time for the umps but tonight they did a really good job and heres hoping the trend continues.

Who were the 3 umpires, they were brillant tonight...

I noticed how many bulldogs players were dropping there heads into tackles, claiming the head-high tackle etc, the umps handled it very very well...

Stevic, Meredith and Ryan.
Im always more at ease when we get these sort of guys who are not as well known as opposed to Razor Ray and Fish Lips McLaren who always over officiate, for me Matt Stevic and Shaun Ryan are two of the better ones going around.

Completely agree. Noticed during the game that they were letting play go on and not getting sucked into players diving into their opponets legs head on. Let's hope they continue this standard for the rest of the year.
