actually i have a footy white whale. a magpies jumper with standard chartered sponsoring.

I was looking at a very special one of these on the weekend actually.....

I was lucky enough to get a squiz through someone's collection of their premiership jumpers (there's 8 in the set.. )

It was like fishing through a suitcase full of Superman's capes!

One of the years sponsors was a Mount <cant recall exactly what> ski lodge at Mount Buller. Any idea who that was and why they are sponsor?

Actually, just thinking about it, the club used to have a draw for sponsor didnt they. Did the winner get their logo on the jumper?

Aside from the obvious Ochre, my personal "whale" is the Subi 1997-99 Westar Rules shocker, that looked like we had merged with Claremont (yes, that's navy)

Some of my fondest, earliest memories of footy were watching the Lions at the empty concrete jungle that is Subi Oval every odd week in this strip - I loved it at the time, like I did the Ochre
But the logo itself is a pretty cool modernisation of the classic logo, and is original as far as I am aware (adapted in many teams around WA since)

Found an old-school snapback cap with this logo in my room during the week

Since I have never seen one since, except in the clubroom, and seeing as all the logos involved are now defunct, I'd love to get it remade

Cory, might that be because the ebay one was a replica? I'm guessing it was Sekem made, and I can't recall them having a neckbar on their replicas.

Saw that, as it was a Sekem replica I figured it wasn't worth going for. I remember someone a couple of years ago wore one to footy training - an Adidas jumper too - so I might try and track him down.
