Its SA mate, we dont have those shenannigans over here. Not sure of others' Gather Round experiences, but we waltzed in with the same minimal "What have you got in your bag? Sandwiches and water? Yeah okay" scrutiny as normal.
Any Big Scary Militant Crackdown seemed to last 1 full round from what I could tell.
Have they found the beaumonts yet?Its SA mate, we dont have those shenannigans over here.
I went to the Blues game and apart from the turnstile dedicated to those with firearms, it was business as usual.

The old "spare glasses" trick, eh? You're a menace to society!I always get pulled over at the MCG. Maybe it's the long hair, maybe it's the heavy metal/punk rock t shirts, maybe it's the beard. But they've done a wonderful job in identifying my potential weapon which is my glasses case with my spare pair in there.
Last time I checked the technology was there to prevent people bringing in weapons not spare pairs of glasses. In other words, the technology and/or process did not do its job. Classic signal detection failure. So what you’re saying is the technology did it’s job?
Presumably the security staff did also by checking?
The AFL has been hit with another security scare after a teenager allegedly armed with a knife tried to enter a match on Saturday.
A 15-year-old boy allegedly armed with a small knife and fake gun tried — but failed — to get into the Essendon-Sydney match at Marvel Stadium during the first quarter.
A police spokesman said the boy did not have a ticket for the game, but approached a gate and “enquired about entering the venue” at about 4:30pm.
He was searched by officers nearby, who allegedly found an imitation firearm and “small” knife.
A police spokesman said the teenager was issued a caution.
Wait until the kid kills someone. Will become the next social media fad for morons I suppose, how do you get only a caution for carrying a knife anyway?
