I just read about that tonight trying to find out about both being shown in Perth. Perth is the Tasmania of the western part of the nation. LOL My dad said when visiting Tasmania in Jan 1983, that it reminded him of the states in the 50s. He and my mum fell in love with Tassie.
Idk if I've told this story?

In the mid-00, I 'd American football in the local league here. One season our head coach was a young guy fresh off playing college football. He mentioned one night in training that Australia at the time reminded him of America in the 80s.

edit; Shouldn't you be saying "mom"?

LOL That's one of the main reasons why many Americans love Australia. It reminds us what the US used to be like before all the shit... My parents were in absolute wonder when there was one of those old side door electric toasters in our room in Devonport. It was just about the highlight of their trip, though my mum, seeing that she was going to get into a Fokker Friendship to fly to Tassie, almost ended in her not going!

One of my former students used to play gridiron here in the 90s. I went to see him play once near Olympic Park somewhere. With his mother's permission, he gave me his late father's Footscray jumper from the 70s. I still have it. His father had died when he was about five. What a thoughtful thing to do. Thanks for reminding me of such a happy memory.

I always called my mother "mum" after I moved here in 1975 until she died almost four years ago. It was something special between us that my siblings could never use. Both my dad and mum loved it here. After their first visit in 1979, after I had lived here four years, they understood why I stayed and didn't worry about me being so far away anymore.

Well, someone had to post today...

I watched Dancing With the Stars. ONJ was there supporting her daughter, Chloe. Looked pretty good. Hopefully won't be getting Death List points for her this year.

I had it on in the background while I watched YouTube videos since I only knew who a couple "celebrities" were. I was gong to watch MKR but I haven't caught up with last week's episodes. I don't know if I will or not. I only watched the US DWTS the year that Bindi won. I used to limit my watching of Reality type TV shows. Now I live for them(well, some of them).

Bindi was a very good dancer

My mum wanted to watch it since she loved Bindi so I watched it with her. It was her first and last time ever watching DWTS. Maybe that's what killed her! :) <---- Mum would have given me a punch for that joke. LOL

Awww that is cute though

In her last year and a half I spent a lot of time watching TV shows with her that I never ordinarily would to keep a closer eye on her - Lifetime Movies and the Catholic Mass every day at 11am. And don't ever mention Murder She Wrote and Matlock to me! LOL

I'm guessing you saw every episode of both of those shows!

I haven't seen any movies in the past year. Can I still watch a TV program that will be giving awards to films I've never seen or care to see? And why do they show the awards on TV instead of filming the gathering and showing it at cinemas like a movie?
