I remember seeing Courier v Muster on centre court in the upper level of Rod Laver. Wasn't too bad.

Was very sad he contracted HIV thru a transfusion.
(not that I'm saying any other way is less sad..)

Happened all the time in the 80s, even remember some story about some poor kid getting it by transfusion.

Yeah safety wasn’t highly regarded in the 80’s unfortunately

And it was basically a death sentence back then, not like now.

Would have been a horrible illness to endure.

I read a memoir from the perspective of an AIDS nurse back in the 80s era. It was horrific the way the patients were treated by their families, the hospital, etc. Just chucked in a room and little comfort given to them when they were dying.

There’s a really good Netflix documentary on his life I’d have to look up the name but it’s outstanding

Der she wasnt a nurse. They were the ones not doing their jobs in the first place..

Was just gonna say but can't think of the words, they weren't treated with comfort and care but more like outcasts.
