Pretty confident we'll smash the Lions, no forward or backline but good in the middle (so are we).. all games we go into for the first five are no less than 50/50 games for us. Form & injuires will determine how many we win..

LS predicts 4-1 with a loss to Carlton.

like most I'm predicting 3-2. but we can very easily be 4 -1. which can really setup our season. most would say that we will most likely finish between 7 - 12 and the difference in making the finals is by beating those teams around you and I'd say that Bris / Ess and a lesser extent adel all will be around that 7 - 12 mark.

Could very easily be 5 - 0

4-1 as I consider the Lions/Crows matches 50-50.

What we do have in our favour (touch wood) is the fact our list is primed for round one. We've got hardly any injuries and a full strength side already on the park. Should start the season in a blaze of glory, the challenge is to maintain it unlike last year.

I think there's actually a good chance we might go the whole season undefeated.
Injuries and lack of depth have been our curse the past few years, this year we are fit and firing and have a treasure trove of talent who will be busting to impress and stake their claim on a senior spot. f we get a good run there's no stopping us.

Consider the danger games this year as Crows, Suns, Cats and Roos in first half, Dockers, Hawks, Power & Swans in second half. We play our best footy and we can win most of those games.

I think we will be 4-1, Adelaide the main concern as they have had the wood over us at edihad of recent times. The other four i'm reasonably confident we can win.
This place will go into meltdown if we do the unthinkable and drop 3 or 4 of the first 5 though.

3-2 or 2-3 at worst imo.

Saints and Blues I think we are a fair chance to beat. Wins.

Lions will be 60/40. Loss at this stage hoping I am wrong.

Crows looked very good. They seem to have their shit sorted under the new coach, good ball movement, good structures and systems. What I saw from them I was hoping to see from us. Loss.

Hard to know what to make of Essenscum atm 50/50.

I've got a really good feeling about the Crows this year actually, think they could be top 4 material maybe if they can stay fit. Crouch breaking his foot over the weekend doesn't help their cause though.

Yeah I think top 8, maybe top 6, still think they are a little bit off the top 4 but it wouldn't shock me.

I think we'll come out of the blocks a little slow while the Lions come out breathing fire and pumped with their off-season. I expect them to treat this like their grand final a la Melbourne and the Queen's Birthday game - LOSS.

Coming back down to Melbourne but to that hole known as Etihad. They played well against us last year, play Etihad better than we do and will probably be keen to impress the new coach for the first time in Melbourne - LOSS.

Round 3 we get to play our perennial bitches since October 2010. I expect no different this time around as the Saints look like bottom 4 material again. Not to mention the game is at the MCG and not Etihad - WIN.

Round 4 is probably the most difficult to predict of the five. If Essendon have players banned we really should have no issues here. Even if they're not banned hopefully their disrupted preseason means they haven't found form by ANZAC Day. Although I think they're a better side on paper in all honesty so if they come out fit, healthy and with their full-list it will be tough going. Still, the optimist in me says - WIN.

Carlton are coming off a 6-day break (as are we) and an international flight. Not to mention that apparently the AFL cocked up Mick's milestone game apparently and it is actually in NZ. Not to mention that MM-led Carlton sides haven't fired a shot against Collingwood yet. With two wins in a row under the belt I expect us to go on with it here - WIN.

I think 3-2 would be par for the course here with 4-1 being brilliant and 5-0 being almost unforeseen given the trail off to the end of 2014. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see us 2-3 but 1-4 or 0-5 would have me seriously worried.
