Maybe he wasn't trying ;)

yeah, dunno. Possible I spose but if that were the case not sure I'd want him anyway, shows poor character if he's not busting his guts at every hurdle, even if we've been in his ear. And I think kp mentioned he's tested poorly two years running now so I doubt he'd play possum both times

Clubs get records of pre-season results at their clubs etc and he was also an AIS kid so there's no hiding or doing anything shady.

I'd rig the draft for Tom Boyd but not Ben Lennon.

Yeah. I was only joking.

Does anyone know how B.Goddard went in the testing. I'm guessing the current tests might be a little bit different though?

Is there any chance Sheed slips to 12? I think he could compliment our midfield perfectly and be one of those players that quietly racks the possessions up, while the opposition are worried cotchin, martin, deledio etc.

they don't need compliments, they need help!

Hey a few compliments might give them that much needed confidence boost.

"Look good, feel good, play good" Ben Cousins ;)

Just re watching champs. I'm warming to Lennon, he has very clean hands. Missed some sitters against country. Would prefer Acres, Sheed, Dunstan and Salem though.

Taylor is going further down in my estimations on champs. Runs around like an energiser bunny but is just frenetic and runs himself and his teammates in to trouble by try to much and calling for it without being aware whats around him.

Watching the Country v Metro game again and salem's disposal has been very disappointing three times from marks he has been really lazy and turned it over and another 3 or 4 poor kicks on the run.

I'm a bit more forgiving on the run but from marks with time it was just sloppy.

Really warming to Lennon, those last few games at TAC cup level this year sort of diminished my doubts of his midfield potential, cant figure out those testing results though.

I tend to ignore testing results if they don't really correlate with how they play. Lets call it the "Mitch Grigg Philosophy"

Lennon doesn't play slow and runs out games fine. Has a decent enough leap at the footy to mark on the lead. The indigenous boys are notorious for not running flat out in a sprint at the Combine but put a footy in front of them and bam they're off to the races. (eg. Dusty faster than Jetta is a funny one)

I'd take him over Acres and Dunstan currently. Sheed and Salem are another level up. Probably the best 2 for playing both inside and outside for mine.

Spot on with Taylor.

"Midfielders Blake Acres and Matt Crouch and half-back Zak Jones may also come into consideration for the Tigers if Lennon and Salem are selected before their first pick."

Hope not :(

Acres I'd be happy with there, but the other 2 even though I like Jones, it's too early.

I know its only 2 games at champs but Salem has gone down for me. Just lazy turn overs from 4 marks he has taken, and a few on the run. I don't expect these kids to be perfect but i just worry if he switches off to easy kind of like Grigg.

Lennon keeps going up though, cleanest player in both his games. I have not seen him fumble at ground level no matter how much pressure, probably the best skill you can have. Everyone else fumbles because they have moved it on before they get it or the pressure.

Kelly is clearly the 2nd best player in this draft, i don't know why he gets labeled as purely an outside gaff type. He quite happily crashes in when its his turn.

What do you think of Alex Spencer?? is a bit raw and rushed sometimes and can get outmuscled but just manages to find the ball in d50 and repel attacks with ease. Personally think there is a lot more with.

Salem had 2 pretty ordinary games in the televised games. He'll be right though. Had a very good year.

Lennon can play and I think he will become a mid at AFL level eventually. You're right he's very clean, he's also very skilled, great mark and a great size.

Yeah, Kelly is climbing mine. After discussing him with some others on PRE I went back and watched him specifically at Champs games and he's better inside than I gave him credit. Aish is the really outside one, though I'm not sure if that's because of the shoulder.

Not sold on Spencer. More rookie chance for mine. I have a fair few KPD's and 3rd talls ahead of him tbh. McStay, Giles, Gardiner, J.Kolodjashnij, Vandeleur, Cutler, Toohey, Beasley.

Aish looked very timid against the bigger bodies in the SANFL grand final though like you say his shoulders appear to be on his mind. His disposal is very good though, best in the draft.

I'm going to have to tame myself in my Aish write up but my god he must have a good PR team or a big name. Yeah, it's probably the name and the fact he's Norwood royalty. Not his fault, but he's been rated as the second coming of Christ for years in SA and I don't think anyone has actually just stopped and watched him play football.

The hype on him has been outrageous.

Sorry Tomnat Tigers, I have to disagree mate. I've seen Aish shank a kick with the best of them.

I think his smooth running style might hypnotise people.

look forward too it.

I still have him at 12. I don't think he's a dud, but he's not flawless.

Jack Riewoldt (2006), Trent Cotchin (2007), Tyrone Vickery (2008), Dustin Martin (2009), Reece Conca (2010), Brandon Ellis (2011) and Nick Vlastuin (2012) were the club's first picks in the last seven respective drafts, with all playing important roles in the Tigers' return to the finals in 2013."
