I have no problem, it was an accident (head clash). I don't care that it's LT or a North player. It shits me because it's absolute bollocks when it comes to the MRP & consistency.

I don't think it was within 5m. Part A, no force was required at all as Reid wasn't in the contest. Part B- guilty etc etc.

How is it different to running past the ball, Reid effectively wasn't in the play.

Anyway I figured out why he hasn't been found guilty. They worked out with their stupid points system, that if he was found guilty he'd go for about 9 weeks, when at best it was worth a couple.:p

It seems I do know the rules.......Thomas rightfully cleared for a collision that occurs 20 times games.
Don't use the MRP being inconsistent to try & justify yourself.

It does not happen 20 times a game. The guy moved his line of sight & his direction to deliberately hit a guy who was arguably within 5m of the ball.

We've been told more than 20 times in the last year this isn't acceptable.

I'm not using the MRP to justify myself because I made my comment before I knew Thomas was cleared, in fact before he was cleared. What Thomas did was within the rules that someone posted. It was an accidental head clash. It's unfortunate that Reid got hurt, the kid can't take a trick ATM, but these things happen.

You're missing one point here. No-one here is arguing it wasn't an accident. It's just the AFL have been telling us for the last few years that the player is responsible for the outcome when he does something wrong.
It's my contention that this is exactly the type of thing the AFL has been talking about, especially (maxwell) with the late hit, move of the line that Lindsay did. That's all I'm saying he did wrong.

Compare this with Selwood & Hanners last year, reconcile those 3 incidents togther?

It's the MRP that I'm pissed off with.
