Never met a religious type who had fully read and understood a bible, and Folau doesn't suggest he has the smarts to actually have read any of it, so my guess is he hasn't even thought about it - like all of the rest of them, they just parrot whatever somebody else tells them to think.

Again, you're attributing the rules of their game to the players.

They aren't the ones not welcoming people into heaven, that's their god doing that.

We can have a very deep discussion about how every religion's god is real and active in the world by the actions of the followers, but we have a situation here where their god says those who don't walk the path don't get into heaven and you're atrributing that to the people trying to get others to walk the path.

Jehova's Witnesses are an even better example of this by the way, only 144,000 will get into heaven yet they still get more people to join. If they wanted everyone else to go to hell then they would keep it to themselves.

Otherwise, his motives are to fearmonger people into behaving the way he wants them too. He also cherry picks his preferred hate targets, otherwise that list would be a lot longer. A clear indication that he is specifically targetting those sinners for rebuke.

he does have the freedom of religion and the free ability to preach his faith. he hasnt been put in jail. that doesnt give him freedom of consequence for his actions which are inspired by that belief though.

unless you think christians should have the freedom to execute people who work on sunday because thats a part of their religion.

If someone posts something religious somewhere on line that I frequent, I will ignore it and keep surfing. If someone comes to my front door and attempts to engage me on religious matters I will politely tell them no. It's actually quite easy.

Religions have been progressively backed into corners and eventually boxed out in a lot of areas in society. We have gone from Galileo being excommunicated to religion having zero input into scientific inquiry at all - this has also been happening in our education systems and religious input will continue to be marginalised out of existence in that sphere. There is no reason to believe that continued enlightenment will not see religion put into the box it belongs everywhere.

Actually it's very possible to dispute any war has been caused by Religion. Even the Crusades were essentially Western Europeans disturbing a surprisingly harmonious relationship between Muslims and orthodox Christians in the middle East.The fact that crusaders sacked a christian Constantinople suggests religion had little to do with it.

A bloke that I work with, he does fifo from overseas to Australia and back out again (Aussie ex-pat) had a disagreement with a female 'comedienne' online last year over her insensitive comments with regards to ANZAC Day. She abused him, he told he even though he had been raised not to assault women that he could consider making an exception for her. She googled his name, found his LinkedIn account and emailed our company. He was pretty close to losing his job for 6 months while it was investigated. In the end the company looked at a lot of her other work and decided that she was frequently deliberately provocative so he got to keep his job.

She is a darling of the inner city Melbourne community. Probably a Victorian version of Clem Ford.

I told him he is 50s years old and asked him what he's doing posting that sort of shit in response to more shit. He learnt a tough lesson (that common sense probably should have told him he didn't need to learn)
