Because you're assigning motive that you can't show exists.

Saying that those who walk with their eyes closed will walk into a wall isn't saying they want people to walk into a wall.

The motive is pretty damned clear. He tweeted about it several times. Don't even try and argue the tired slogan "love the sinner, hate the sin" that right wing religious types try and use to attempt to make them sound less bigotted.

He wants gay people, atheists and many others to literally burn in hell for eternity, hell supposedly being the most pain anyone could ever suffer. How is that not hate?
It's hate. Mindless, unthinking, judgemental, ill-informed hatred of others who threaten their closeted world view.

Actually Mundines mouth ruined any chance of him fighting in the US for any big payday. He was quietly blacklisted from a lot of opportunities.

I don't think it was done quietly at all, his comments post 9/11 were all over the media and so were America's reaction to them.

He didnt do anything wrong. Hes religious, he follows the bible, he basically just stated those religious views probably close to verbatim that's written in the bible. Probably no different than many other preachers. He wasn't talking about killing anyone he was talking metaphorically about the afterlife I believe.

People don't have to agree with him but we either allow freedom of religion and to preach your faith or we dont?

Let's don't allow fools who believe in fairytales to spread their hate, then. Easy.

You can believe whatever you want, just keep it to your damned self - no pun intended.

Re the Heaven v Hell debate - really recommend "The Good Place" currently on Netflix. It's forking hilarious.
for a season. Then it gets shit

No wonder Warden Norton didn't tell you Carl Williams was getting the final deletion.

So as per my previous question to you, give me an example of how Folau may have worded a tweet that included Aboriginals burning in hell? And why do you think, he would think that they would or should burn?

You shout your mouth off, get pulled up and then go the man when you have nothing. You're probably as tolerant as Issy's religion. He thinks he's right and you think you're right.

Okay, so you are in the banning of freedom of religion and expression of faith. That's okay people are entitled to that view too but make no mistake that's what those against Falou are saying.

I dont agree with his views I'm not overly religious, but I understand they come from a religious text that's very outdated and some take it quite literally.

Those mormons going around trying to convert people so they get into heaven kinda torpedoes your point. They are trying to bring people along with them on their path because they think it's the right path.

I know it makes it a lot easier to discount someone's position if they can be spun as evil though.

he does have the freedom of religion and the free ability to preach his faith. he hasnt been put in jail. that doesnt give him freedom of consequence for his actions which are inspired by that belief though.

unless you think christians should have the freedom to execute people who work on sunday because thats a part of their religion.

he hasnt been banned from anything. has his tweet been forceably deleted, has he been censured and put in jail?

If an employee at my place of work were to post that, and somebody reported it to HR, no doubt they would be in danger of losing their job because it would make their LGBT coworkers very, very unwelcome in the workplace.

This is an example of how mentally deranged people are today, and how social media is a cancer.

They have that Spirit in the sky song by Norman Greenbaum. It's pretty catchy, but would drive me nuts on loop for eternity.
Ironically for a guy named Israel, does he think Jews (like Greenbaum) got to heaven too or is the whole Jesus-killing issue a problem?

You know, with all that other batshit crazy Leviticus stuff (wearing cloth woven from more than one fibre, sowing a field with more than one type of crop, etc).

As an atheist,a former fornicator and a regular drunk I kind of find it hilarious that a religious nut thinks I am going to a make believe place when I die.

I don't know why people give this the time and space personally

This is my whole point , he’s a raving lunatic. Who gives a flying ****? It should be water off a ducks back.

and if the atheists or gay people can't be converted then these religious types want them to suffer for eternity.

I know right, how dare non-hetero people feel welcome in their workplace. What an utter disgrace. Modern society is going down the drain, we need to go back to the time when men were men, women made sandwiches, and anyone who was different was shunned, abused and either flogged or jailed.

Again, you're attributing the rules of their game to the players.

They aren't the ones not welcoming people into heaven, that's their god doing that.

We can have a very deep discussion about how every religion's god is real and active in the world by the actions of the followers, but we have a situation here where their god says those who don't walk the path don't get into heaven and you're atrributing that to the people trying to get others to walk the path.

Jehova's Witnesses are an even better example of this by the way, only 144,000 will get into heaven yet they still get more people to join. If they wanted everyone else to go to hell then they would keep it to themselves.

Never met a religious type who had fully read and understood a bible, and Folau doesn't suggest he has the smarts to actually have read any of it, so my guess is he hasn't even thought about it - like all of the rest of them, they just parrot whatever somebody else tells them to think.

Yes, that is exactly what I am suggesting. There is no right to spread hate messages under the guise of religious freedom.

Religious freedom means you can practice your religion as long as it doesn't adversely affect others who don't have your particular belief system.

If religious people cannot figure that out, they can bugger off to a non-secular country.
