Because they were just pandering to Qantas' wishes ;)

They could have come up with a better solution than just "sacking" him. They could very well go bankrupt because of it and I honestly hope they do.

You being sick doesn't deny the point she committed the ultimate act of political incorrectness. Some people can try and project their SJW patriot stuff on to others, but nobody has to concede their thinking faculties and blindly accept it.

Do you realise how much the First World War devastated this nation?

A young developing nation, lost a whole generation of men and boys.

They never came home, never had families, never contributed to the growth of this country....and it happened right at a time, when this nation had only recently been federated and born in its own right.

It took decades for Australia, to move on from that KV.

And you think it’s an act of brave political dissent for some twenty something Sudanese refugee, to open her big mouth on Twitter and piss on that?

Yeah, my family had losses in the war aswell. Save that anger for those who push people into war, rather than those who aren't sufficiently reverent.

Yes many did perish in the Great war - more than 60,000.
And England wanted more of Australia's youth on the battle fields to defend the Empire.
But as Historians know all too well today, the Great War was in fact a Trade War - nothing to do with the defense of freedoms or democracy.

In fact, Australia had two referendums (1916 and 1917) on compulsory national conscription and military service conditions driven by English interests. Both referenda were defeated/rejected by the Australian people.

The first Federal Ministry in Australia formed in Melbourne in 1901. One of the first Acts of Parliament passed in 1901 was the Immigration Restriction Act (1901) - also known as the White Australia Policy. This Act of Parliament was not rescinded until the late 1950s.

By the way, the Barton led Federal Ministry in 1901 passed the Beer Excise Act just before it passed the Immigration Restriction Act. Priorities hey Echoes?

Yasmin made her own decision to decamp to the UK.

Perhaps, an unfortunate way to frame it, but no one pointed a gun to her head.

She made a series of inflammatory public comments, she copped a backlash, and left the country.

It was her fault the public turned on her, and her choice to leave because of it.
