Religion Folau

The only thing FitzSimons has a good handle on is his ****.

Clueless yet again. He can't see that the issue is much bigger than rugby.
It was interesting to read how worthless Folau's word is.

Not sure what kind of undertaking he gave to RA last year. After the stink died down he said he'd always put his faith before his career.

The most interesting thing in the article is the clarification that no "special clause" inhibiting Folau's social media activities exists, as has been widely reported. He has the same contract as every other player.

Yes which stipulates no discrimination on the basis of sexuality.

Except Folou didn't bring them in, Rugby Australia did. Folau posted on his personal social media account, Rugby Australia then brought politics in by disagreeing with his religious views and taking action and then Folau is now defending himself.

Is that not accurate? Goodes may have done the same I'm not sure who played the race card first him or the media.

There's no such thing as a 'personal social media account.' Unless your settings are super tight, it's in the public domain. Especially if you're famous.Anyone can read it. That's why it's called 'social.'

If Folau didn't want his views becoming widely known, he should have told him in secret to his special Sky Man, the one who created gays but then decided he didn't like them. Or he should buy a diary?

The people who 'played the race card' with Goodes were mostly posters on BigFooty.

It is as simple as Issy as breached his contract by discriminating on the basis of sexuality.

It'n not about discrimination, it's about breach of contract. And possibly whether RA's application of the contract infringes upon constitutional rights.

Is there the slightest chance that Israel Folau will return to the AFL as it seems he is about to be sacked by the ARU and the NRL don't want him back. So unless he gets an offer from French RU he could try and worm his way back into AF. Just saying
No. He’s got better chance of ****ing my arse before he goes back to AFL.

No constitutional rights have been effected.
With any larger organisation the employment contract will have fine print saying no discrimination on the basis of sexuality.

It is part of the Australian human rights! It is set in concrete ,

The Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (SDA) makes it unlawful to discriminate against a person because of their sex, gender identity, intersex status, sexual orientation, marital or relationship status, family responsibilities, because they are pregnant or might become pregnant or because they are breastfeeding.

What about the drunks the adulterers the liars the foricators the thieves the atheists and the idolisers?

Thats about 99% of the population who will tick at least one of those boxes. Is it possible for one person to discriminate against 99% o the world population?

Anyone can post the same thing as Folau tomorrow and not be in breach of any laws (yet!).

"The Commonwealth shall not make any law for establishing any religion, or for imposing any religious observance, or for prohibiting the free exercise of any religion, and no religious test shall be required as a qualification for any office or public trust under the Commonwealth."

- Section 116 of the Constitution

There are also laws at state level which differ according to the state.

I suspect it's contract law laywers rather than constitutional ones that are arguing the case.

your a real knuckle dragger .
This is about Issy and his sexual discrimination in the workplace.

Yeah. At this stage.

Edit: He's engaged Ramy Qutami, who's butted heads with the NRL.

Yes you should read it!!!
It’s relates to employees.

Can you name what rights of people Folau violated and how he discriminated against them . For discrimination to occur an INDIVIDUAL has to be discriminated against .

Who did he discriminate against and how did he discriminate ?

He discriminated by telling them they weren't welcome in his magical fairy land. :drunk:

Ok then , if you think so . You still don’t actually know what discrimination is though. Read your document and you might get an idea by the examples .

You do realise that you're responding to the wrong person here, don't you?

That's fine but I was responding to someone who said Folau brought politics into sport. He wasn't the one to initiate that. That happened when Rugby Australia charged him for sharing his religious views. I dont think Folau posted with the intention to spark a debate and legal hearing on religious freedom (is what his lawyers will argue) for professional athletes.

So ARU will argue that he committed sexual discrimination and Issy will argue that the ARU has committed Religious discrimination. This will be very messy.
