Interesting:

Employment lawyers have raised their eyebrows at the $3m fundraising target. Maurice Blackburn principal lawyer Josh Bornstein believes the goal is over the top.

“If you set out to spend
$3m on that case it would be very difficult, even if you sought to max out your legal spend by getting the most expensive lawyers in Australia on the case, it would be still very hard to achieve,” Bornstein told the Guardian.

He said the case could be run comfortably for $300,000-$400,000, bearing in mind that most cases settle before a trial so it could be less.

If the case was to progress to the federal court for appeal that might add an extra $100,000 on to the tab, followed by an extra $150,000 if it reaches a high court appeal.

“I find the whole notion of a multimillionaire crowd-funding for his legal expenses highly problematic and dubious,” Bornstein said.

Why has Folau's profession been targeted and not his church?

Are the SJW's too cowardly to take on anything more than an individual?

Nobody's trying to restrict his freedom of religious expression in his church.

I don’t know how you can argue the physical act of sex is not a choice .

So you're claiming that people's sexuality only applies when they're having sex?

Not sure what this has to do with honesty.

The question you answered was "Would you jump up and tell a group of Muslims that their religion was a massive con?"

You answered "If the person was a high profile sports person who breached the code of conduct of his sport in the same circumstances and then sought $3M to help his legals costs? Yes I think I would. Would you?

I thanked you for your honesty in saying that if the person was a high profile muslim sports person in these same circumstances you would tell him that his religion is a massive con.

Many people wouldn't display this level of honesty so I thanked you for your contribution to the thread. It's all good.

Really? Why not? Does the concept cease to be evil at that point?

If this was Bachar Houli quoting the same passage from the Koran, no way does he get kicked out of the league.

RA and their major sponsors could not give a toss the stripe of the religion. Qantas, far as I can see doesn't even mention religion in their code.

No I am claiming that according to the beliefs of Christians it’s the actual sexual act that they consider the sin not the loving a same sex partner .

You didn't quote "Christians" when you made the initial comment, nor when you first responded.

It's a garbage claim anyway, regardless of whether you or "Christians" believe it..

Behaviour is a choice though . It’s not the loving part that is the issue in Christianity , it’s the physical part which can be considered a choice .

I don’t agree with it but if that’s the case you could say the same thing about adulterers. They had an attraction to a female and it’s not a choice
I actually did say Christianity .

I don’t agree with it at all

No, but seemingly trying to restrict that expression to a church. Since when has freedom of religious expression been confined to the physical bounds of a church? Similarly is ones political expression confined to the bounds of like party hall?

6 of whom have some kind of choice over their behaviour.
I don’t choose to be an atheist. It’s just my nature. I can’t believe what I don’t believe no matter how hard I pretend.

It’s not really about groups who have a choice or not. It’s about those deemed to be victims/oppressed.

I was responding to Snake_Baker's question on why Folau's church hasn't come under fire. RA doesn't care about what he says in church or which church he says it in.

I reckon they would if video of him preaching fell fire to homosexuals in his church was posted all over the net and the media. That's my guess, not a fact.

You're probably right. Folau's church has facebook posted at least one of his sermons, I don't know how long they've been doing that for but I didn't hear any noise about it.

It’s not ridiculous dude . Do you choose to have sex with someone or not . You can disagree with the stance but you can’t say it is not a choice

Choosing not to act on one's sexual orientation necessitates living a sexless, loveless life. And acting on one's sexual orientation hurts no third party. Adultery is an act that hurts a third party, possibly two third parties and it does not at all cut off one's possibility of a sex life if not acted on. It's a ridiculous comparison.

It's much more than that now. The outrage brigade still don't think it's enough Israel lost his job that they are now trying everything in their power to stop him from raising money for his legal costs by campaigning gofundme to cancel his page and now trying to get the ACL investigated.

They are even campaigning for the Adelaide Thunderbirds to sack his wife for supporting her husband.

What a bunch of pathetic little individuals .

They're sh*tting boulder sized bricks because deep down they know their side doesn't have a leg to stand on if this case makes it all the way to the High Court. A verdict not in their favour will have huge repercussions that would put them at a disadvantage in promoting their insidious so-called progressive agenda on the rest of society unabated, as it has been to this point in time.

The LGB/SJW ferals were counting on Folau being a good meek little Christian who would eventually quietly surrender with his tail between his legs never to be seen or heard off again. They underestimated his resolve and are now doing everything within their power to put as many stumbling blocks in his way as possible hoping against hope that it'll dissuade him from pursuing this course of action.

Too late my pc fascist friends, you've open Pandoras box and there's a reckoning coming your way. And this all because some uppity homosexual CEO thought he had the right to destroy someone's livelihood for no other reason than because a player minding his own business outside of his official duties dared to preach Christine doctrine that was merely uncomplimentary about his sexuality.

It had nothing to do with hate speech or anything like that, Alan Joyce just couldn't bear someone that he believed he had some control over stating things he personally (and other oversensitive fragile souls) found offensive and wanted to use this incident as both a warning and an example to intimidate any other employee working for Qantas or RA from ever contemplating doing the same thing. He couldn't put his over-inflated ego to one side and realise that this wasn't a hill that a smart wise person would want to die on and not helpful to the LGBGT cause one little bit.
