For those of you who have the game you would agree that its a graet game but i always have a problem with it. Just after i start a season i normally get 2 seasons after that no problems so my list is getting in shape. Then when i went to start the 3rd season it always says there is a stupid error. It does this every now and then. I am majorly peeved cause in my last trade session i picked up big names like Tom Harley,Matthew Scarlett,Warren Treadrea,Matthew Pavlich,Paul Hasleby and David Teague for pretty much nothing players.

Add to that list:
Kane Johnson,Andrew McLeod,Jeff White,Sandilands,Burton,Lonie Brothers,Wilson,Newman,Gary Ablett,Jude Bolton,Nathan Thompson,Nathan Brown,Rhett Biglands,Shane Harvey and sum good young players coming through the ranks.

I am majorly peed off because it always comes up with an error saying that i cant play it anymore so i havent played 1 game with my new team yet its so stupid.

Anyone else haev this problem and what can i do?

Wrenny you should try the Computer and Gaming board next time. I only happened to see this here because it was on the 'latest topics' list.

Errors on Footy Fanatic happen quite often. I know the frustration wrenny - it used to happen to me (i dont play it anymore)

Either email him at: footy_fanatic_pc@hotmail.com , have a look at the old FootyFanatic Threads of the Computer and Gaming board - he may have answered it there.

If not, you'll have to wait untill mid this year for his update.

The problem with FF errors is that they're so random. I'm into my third season, and haven't had a single crash, while other people crash every time they run it.

I think it's a good time for me to step in!

I read this and I couldn't agree more. Just about all the errors people have are database based using a database control. I later found out after releasing the game that this is a very buggy control and something could work fine on my computer but get out of sync on others and cause an error.

The first thing I did with the new version was rewrite all the database code which has made a huge difference, for example constructing a career did take about 2 minutes on my computer and now takes about 20 seconds (same sort of ratio for simming games)

I've added in the backup career feature which I hope avoids some frustration for people but I really just want to get this new version done so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

I'll also be sending the game out to a few people first and testing it thoroughly before making it available to everyone.

I can tell you now you've been offically added to the 'Footy Fanatic - Maybe Game Tester' list!

Hopefully there isnt any bugs and the game is a bit quicker. Also i normally am on the net when im playing the game and it sucks cause while i have a game running i press alt+tab to change to the internet and it always goes back to the footy so i can go and post stuff. So maybe we can change that?
