FF..................WALKER TIPPETT.....................

HFF.......?..................................PORPS

HF..................DAVIS KNIGHTS..................

Walker: leading full forward with plenty of space upfield to lead up to the 50 metre arc.

Tippett : stay at home forward while also rucking inside forward 50.

Porps: marking small forward also to crumb of tippett/walker.

Knights: roaming half forward leading up field and out working opponent back into space between full forward/ half forward also zone breaker with long left foot.

Davis: True centre half forward role staying between 40-70 metres from goal square, using great right leg to find leading forward.

I recon with that 5 above we have a very potent forward line for the next 7-10 years with my only concern is lack of pace.

IMHO i think we need a rioli type forward who can tackle hard and pressure defenders into turnovers in our forward 50 with the ability to covert half chances into goals.

My question is who would u place in our forward 6 beyond 2010 and how what structure would u like to see?

If the Melbourne game's anything to go from Burton will have to keep on going on, our only proactive forward :o

I want a triangular formation
centering the ball towards full forward as we go, and options infront of you in any direction. If you go to any level there will be crumbers there (midfielders crumb the top level)

Tippett at Full Forward is the obvious case
I want 1 opurtunist crumber and one smaller player with a strong mark on the 2nd line - with our current team I beleive it should be Petrenko and Porplyzia
on the 3rd level I want 2 tall lead up types, and IMO that would be Walker and Davis, with the other player a player who can put alot of pressure on keeping the ball in the forward line but also the crumbing abilities to send the ball forward. So I would say Douglas

FF:-------------Tippett------------
LHF:------Petrenko---Porplyzia------
UHF:--Walker-----Douglas-----Davis

also I would have on the wing, some players who have great accurate kicks able to dissect a zone

so
W:--Knights-----------------Mackay

F Petrenko Tippett Henderson
HF Knights Walker Porplyzia

Please do not ever put Douglas in any suggested forward line ever again.

I LIKE YOUR MODERN THINKING:thumbsu::thumbsu:

I think the only player on our list who could play the crumbing role that i would like to see is petrenko but i hope we draft/trade a natural crumbing forward and keep pup down back where i think he plays his best footy.

100% in agreeance with your structure above :thumbsu:
Unfortunately, i dont think we have that Rioli type on our list at the moment (IMO Petrenko is better running straight from defence, Douglas midfield,.....)
Perhaps at the end of 2010 the AFC will now actively trade for one.

Davis CHF, working from just inside the 50 to the wing. Knights providing support to Davis. Resting mid.

Walker lead up target in the 50. Tippett, secondary lead target, main bomb target. Crumber......
