I'd like to slam Tarrant, Petrie and Black.

9 touches between them to half time is just totally unacceptable.

Tarrant should have never come in after 1 VFL game, especially when in that VFL game he did SFA, 11 touches and he gets a re-call? How about rewarding Mason Wood leading the VFL goal kicking? Jacobs consistently racking up 35+? But they bring in Tarrant after an 11 possession game, can someone please explain that to me?

14 disposals between them at 3/4 time.

Black is put on a serious pedestal around here, but he should have been dropped for Wood weeks ago, you can't tell me Mason would be any worse then Black has been, and at least he will know that his spot isn't concrete.

Majak is a work in progress, but he would have had more of an impact then Tarrant tonight, no question.

Drew, well he's just shown time and time again why he won't be remembered as a great player.

It's true Tarrant was rushed back. Clearly the coaching staff believe he is vital to our forward structure and they wanted him in - even at the risk of putting him in early - so as to try to get the same structure that worked so well last year functioning again. Having made that call, they must persist with Tarrant over the next three weeks.

Petrie won the game for us last week. He's hardly touched it this evening but it's hardly been his fault. The ball has been bombed long into a congested forward line giving him hardly any chance to mark.

As for Black ... well i concede you may have a point there!

Black is so overrated here it is not funny. His stats this year have been shithouse, daw is nearly on par with him while rucking as well might I add. But in this board he is a protected species, should have dropped him for wood weeks ago when wood was in form and not injured.

Delivery has been terrible but it doesn't stop you from competing. Brad Scott is just as useless as the rest of these dead shits. Sloane kills us every time yet he lets him run free every time we play them......... Dumbshit central!

Yep. The delivery inside fifty was supurb tonight. Really quick and swift ball movement. We got em on the spread nicely.

There has been deserved criticism of the midfields poor performance throughout the board, and this thread. They deserve a spray after tonight.
18 touches, 7 marks, 7 tackles and 1 goal between 3 of them is just totally unacceptable regardless of delivery. Absolute pathetic.

Yep considering he signed a very nice contract at the end of last season.

Triple towers structure is sooooooo last year, not one decent side is using it, lol, all the people who thought Tarrant would make a difference, our delivery into F50 is comical most of the time, retention of ball in the F50 is deplorable, forward pressure practically non existent, missed sitter goals early in the 1st Q by Drew and Spitta absolute momentum sappers and buzz killers, we seem to be treating the pill like it is a red hot potato, dont hold it for 1 second, just handball to a team mate, usually within a metre, ready or not

This may sound stupid but one of the reasons why our forward line doesn't function when we have slow ball movement is because of Lindsay Thomas. Hear me out.

Thomas very very rarely gets on his bike, I'd hate to see his distance covered stats compared to say someone like Ballantyne.

When the ball is coming in slowly, Thomas crowds the forward line and more often than not it is his direct opponent going third man up killing the contest for the big forwards. Tonight I noticed it more than ever. Thomas needs to get up the ground more and start getting a few more inside 50's. He is one of our classiest and creative ball users.

Majak's fault clearly!
Seriously the only reason petrie clunked a few last week was because we started getting it in quick and more to the point he was up against argubly the worst defender in the league Troy Chaplin.

Last week Daw going out created space and we win.

This week the forwards were poor because of the midfield.

Got it .
Last week the main change after half time was the speed of delivery and consequently the space available. This week we crawled forward again.
