As I read this situation, Buddy would have got a reprimand if not for his pre existing record.

Basically Buddy got what he deserved here, a reprimand, but because of his bad record it was increased to over 100 points, and he misses a game.

One case where the MRP and tribunal actually got it right.

Any deliberate head high contact with a shoulder, fist or arm is likely to lead to a report and punishment now, all players know that, and Buddy had the option to pull out of the contest or just chest Aker, instead he turned his body, raised his body off the ground and clearly hit him with a shoulder to the head.

100% correct decision.

I did the same thing...happy for him to kick plenty as long as we win....actually as long as we win and he doesn't get injured he can score nothing...same with hodge.

I wouldn't say "happy" about Buddy being outed.

Moreso, it's the "luck of the draw" so to speak and it's opportunistic for us and that's footy, so we'll take it.

It didn't deserve a week but it did deserve a reprimand.

Buddy's existing poor record is what outed him though.
