As I read this situation, Buddy would have got a reprimand if not for his pre existing record.
Basically Buddy got what he deserved here, a reprimand, but because of his bad record it was increased to over 100 points, and he misses a game.
One case where the MRP and tribunal actually got it right.
Any deliberate head high contact with a shoulder, fist or arm is likely to lead to a report and punishment now, all players know that, and Buddy had the option to pull out of the contest or just chest Aker, instead he turned his body, raised his body off the ground and clearly hit him with a shoulder to the head.
100% correct decision.
