Really? I've seen plenty of rough heads on... well... never mind...

Dang. Just traded two players before I saw Buddy was out. Tough gig, this supercoach thing.

Brent Renouf and Jarryd Roughead star in, The Day Renouf got Roughead.

Rule number 1 of Supercoach: Don't trade on a Monday.

Rule number 2 of Supercoach: Don't trade on a Tuesday.

Rule number 3 of Supercoach: Definitely don't trade on a Monday.

Rule number 4 of Supercoach: Don't trade until the teams are named on Thursday....

Perfect result, Akermanis gets hit in the head (couldve hit him a bit harder though) and Buddy gets rubbed out.

Couldn't have happened any better for us, oh yeah, and the blonde w***er did his hmastring too, lol.

Accuracy will be key - again. I just have such little faith in Davis/Didak at the moment, not to mention nervous about the Rioli factor.

I agree... Although I brang in Cyril for Riewoldt anyway.

He's just too delicious to pass up.

The man up so well against us and we need to stop riloi hodge and mitchell we do that and we will win but if we dont we could easily lose the match they are still a good side.

This is indeed a must-win.

It will absolutely crush our confidence.

Wonder how the team will respond after last week's devastating loss + the MM/Lica/Milne fiasco that has ensued.

Will it be a distraction that may prompt us to play crap, or will it inspire a bit of determination this week?

Agree Smiddaz, huge for us.

Should win this game.

This is an interesting concept.

In theory, yes it should massively increase our chance of winning as Buddy always seems to be too good for us..plus we can put Presti to Roughhead.

In practice though, they will likely all lift a bit to compensate, we may subconsciously drop off a bit, 'cos Buddy's out'

Net result...I dunno actually. Saints game, the reverse occurred...the more key injuries they got, the further ahead they went!

I'm trying to remember us vs weakened teams when we actually beat them by more than expected if they if they were at normal strength?

We need to believe we are better than them and have the belief to take them on, corridor, flanks, whatever.

My belief...if Buddy's out, this lowers our chance of winning.

Mate, we are not even close to either of them.
I think we are and we have shown it by smashing the dogs and we dominated the saints in the first 3qts of the game it was on poor accuracy that costed us the game if we kick 3 of em the saints would have been down by 19 points and it would have been different for them mentaly so i dont think we are that far off. But we must win the next 4 games all very winable.

When we start winning 20+ something games in a season and a bit like Saints or Geelong with two Grannies then yeah, we're up there. But if we practically lose against teams like Melbourne you have to be a little more realistic about it. ;)

Let this game be another test to the team.

I don't think confidence is necessarily the objective right now; the four points should be. Last season showed that we can get a run on at any time, we started the season 3-5 but won something like 12 of our last 13. If we win this week, we'd be 3-1 and would have lined up against 3 of the best 4 sides in the comp (other than us, of course). That'd be a pretty darned good return, and an excellent building block. That's what we should be aiming for.

It will be just our luck that he appeals, gets off and has a blinder you know some players love playing against certain teams, just go back and have a look at buddy's record against us, bad form or not he hates us and fixes us up every time

Not to mention it'd put us 2 games clear of Hawthorn, another top 4 contender.

Wow, Franklin out!

We actually stand some sort of a chance now. Since the last time we beat Hawthorn was 2006 when Franklin wasn't playing (or was he, can anyone confirm?)

Still think Hawthorn will win, but at least it shouldn't be the 7 goal plus hammering we normally cop.
