i hate the spud as much as anyone but he has a right to defend himself

march was on the radio saying how much the 2001 drafting sucked and then when dermie asked who was doing it march said MILLER lmao
Miller was not even at the club ...LMAOO

Frawley is to Punt rd... as Hitler , was to Germany

Frawley should be put on trial in Geneva for "Crimes against football"

Well we only got the football department to blame for hiring him.there were plenty of other coaches we could have tried.

I just wish the media would stop hiring these ex-coaches for expert insight. Schwab, Frawley, Thomas ... they are all available to the media because they have no expert insight. At least Malcolm Blight has some intellegence, and he is the only one who is modest enough to simply 'wonder' not claim he has the answers.

Well all those blokes do have families to support so I don't blame them for trying to get some sort work.

I just LMAOOO every time Spud says ..."This is what i would be doing if i were coach"

I just think it is some sort of corporate super conspiricy/practical joke ... in the "Joe Schmoo" show (think thats was it`s name was) Truman show kind of way that he even has a gig in the media .... Seriously , how can anyone take him even remotely seriously when he offers "expert analysis" ?

Saddest thing is he does not realise that he is the butt of what is really just a big pracitical joke at his expense and actually believes that he is respected ... still to this very day

Unfortunately that is not true. People forget that we had been turned down by Ayres, Thompson, Schwab. Garry Lyon refused an interview. No one wanted to work for us because of our low budgets, political infighting at board level, bad culture and sacking of coaches.

We were the job no one wanted. We were the club without the budget to hire someone good.

It was Frawley or Hutchinson in the end - so we went for both

The one small mercy is that we ate our broccolli and got rid of that reputation as an amateur sack-happy outfit. Whether Miller, Wallace and Royal are the answer remains to be seen - but at least we were able to mix it in the market place again.

I'm not talking about those coaches because I know that they didn't even apply for the job but there were some other untried coaches who had been assistants for a long time who did apply like brian royal and tony elshaugh,etc..... So you can't say there weren't other any other people interested.

What did Wallace see in the list?

Well **** off then.:D

Frawley's drafting blunders have us in the schit now with the so-called 'core group' of players. Can't go back in time. He's still a POS though.

I've always wondered what Wallace saw in the list. He said that he chose Richmond over Hawthorn as he saw a better long term future at Richmond given the 2 lists.

I wasn't very sure of that then and I'm not so sure now.

It's called selling yourself jazz.

Well....he's in commentary because of his coaching ability.
Figure.
Go.

We had budget to recruit Sheedy as the most expensive coach in the AFL. Then we went after Malthouse on the same terms.

Budget wasnt an issue

Unfortunately, this is more than just about Danny Frawley.

Everyone likes to say footy is a business these days, but if Frawley did in the business world what he did at Richmond, he would indefinetely be on the dole.

How he can still make a living from football despite what he did at Richmond demonstrates what a joke it it when people say footy is a business. Its not. Its an old boys network looking after itself.

Danny Frawley should never be allowed to commentate or coach or having anything do with football after he demonstrated how little he knows about the sport after single handedly ruining our footy club over 5 years.

I still think we should lynch the tool

Thompson said after he took the job with Geelong why he knocked back coaching Richmond. he said, along the lines, that he was afraid he's coaching carreer might be cut short at the tigers.

Richmond easily have the best chance to win next flag in victoria. Saints chance is gone, Wallace, ROyal, Armstrong combination is the reason for the success of the bulldogs. They recruited all thier gun player 6 years ago. It will take another 4 years of improvemnts becuase they are not gonna bottom out like saints did for a quick fix.. If those 3 still at bulldogs the bulldogs would have flags. Smorgo off his head.

I thought we didn't even contact Thompson.

I saw an IV with him and he said we hadn't even contacted him and vice versa.:thumbsu:

Cha Ching :thumbsu:

It sickens me to my core .... Gary Lyon "pulling his Nine/footy show/Eddie inspired" weight to look after his ol` dumb@rsed hick mate from the ol` AFL Squadron days.

People get up us for hanging onto this but there are two reasons why , which i will add to Oxx`s quantum list of factual descriptions ....

#1 - Should have put the club before himself , as 99% of people with dignity would have done , and resigned ...AT LEAST 18 months before he actually departed , instead of clinging on insipidly because a) - he knew our board would not sack him due to our inherent past and b) - he so deeeeeeeeeesperately wanted to keep on coaching at the highest level because it was "HIS" personal goal to do so ... when it was clearly apparent to all and sundry that he was not a coaches @rsehole

#2 - Actually ever had the balls to fess up that yes ... he really did cokc it right up

That is why he will always raise our ire

You have no idea at all what you are talking about. What are the names of the gun players that the Western Bulldogs recuited 6 years ago? And what the hell does the quote in bold mean?

Perfectomundo Fonzie

and he hired his mates (Stewart Lowe) and his relatives (the albino whiteboard carrier) to share the trough

He couldnt even jump the boundary fence let alone coach

He's right there. Thompson wouldn't have got the 7 years he's had at the cats at any other club. Another one who has had a long coaching career despite a complete lack of coaching talent.
