12 whole days of Dodoro getting his face everywhere... wish they'd cut trade period down back to the week.

Only gets interesting in the final 3 days anyway. Now it’s a whole media thing, very annoying.

I might be on my own but I find clubs to be too conservative with offloading certain players.

Lynch, Martin and Cameron for example, imo all won’t see another GF at their clubs and all on about $1M, both of their clubs are rebuilding, move them on, be brave, get quality kids in.

Seperate to this, Melb have no key forwards and a cracking draft hand, go offer Richmond a deal they can’t refuse for Lynch.

Lynch would make Melbs forward line very strong.

Lack of bravery by these clubs

The Pies although mostly forced (I think) moved on two big players to balance out their list and boy did it pay off.

I have to give SOS credit for some really brave list calls, although we hadn’t just come down from multiple premierships the teams I mentioned.

I think these 3 players are very different cases.

Martin is on 1.4M next year, and then becomes a free agent which ruins his trade value. He is on 289 games. May as well get to 300 at Richmond, get his money and then reassess in 12 months time.

Lynch to the Dees however makes perfect sense though, from Melbourne, Richmond and Lynch's point of view.

Geelong have proven to be able to bounce back pretty quickly. I can't see why they would ship Cameron off, and he seems extremely settled down there.

Agree with Martin and Cameron does seem entrenched, not sure how quickly they will bounce back to the top though. As a general rule though, clubs should be doing more moving of these guys to speed up regeneration.

Thought this might be helpful. Requested trades/FA moves so far -

Ben McKay to Essendon (FA)
James Jordon to Sydney (FA)
Todd Goldstein to Essendon (FA)
Tyler Brockman to West Coast (Trade)
Liam Henry to St Kilda (Trade)
Elliott Himmelberg to GWS (Trade)
Massimo D’Ambrosio to Hawthorn (Trade)
Jacob Koschitzke to Richmond (Trade)
Brandon Zerk-Thatcher to Port Adel (Trade)
Jordon Sweet to Port Adel (Trade)
Esava Ratugolea to Port Adel (Trade)
Shane McAdam to Melbourne (Trade)
Dylan Stephens to North Melb (Trade)

Other names continually rumoured to move: Grundy, Doedee, Gresham, Billings, Chol, Fisher, Dow, Soldo, Flynn, Burgess, Khamis, Shiel, Fullarton, E. Hollands

We should really keep going at Liam Henry with the next "Bobby Hill" pitch, big crowds all year plus September where he could be that electric goalkicking winger/half forward.

A goalkicking winger with electric speed would be awesome...Peter Matera kicking 5 against the Cats need I say more.

Other than Henry only Holland's and at stretch Bkamis I think would suit our needs....

Besides being short and aboriginal, what does he have in common with Hill? He's kicked 13 goals from 43 games. In terms of goals per game, he's closer to fogarty (16 from 55) than hill (who was 34 from 41 prior to this season).

I don't watch fremantle games generally and don't see a lot of him, so happy to admit if I'm mistaken. I know he's played wing also but acres kicked more goals in 2 finals than Henry has in the last 2 years.

Also he wants to go to st. Kilda, which means he's already off the market and probably doesn't care about playing in front of big crowds.

McAdam is an astute pickup for the Dees, really hoping we can snaffle more than just Ollie's brother if we're to keep up with the competition
They dont lack small forward talent imo- they dont have decent tall targets - may have cost them a a flag this year and McAdam wont fix that isue.

Their forward entries are v.poor but their talls are failing them too. More a medium forward for McAdam, the type we could do with.
Lobb makes some sense for them after a poor year at WBD
ANB * Lobb * Kossie
McAdam * JVR * Fritsch

Melbourne have got the draft picks to make this happen as well.

Would make Richmond very young (Cotch, Riewoldt, Lynch, potentially Dusty etc) but it'd be a decent way to reload the list again.

Really would be a win for all concerned parties.
