Too many free kicks paid these days. No way a team should get 40+ free kicks in a game.
I recall a Freo game where their free kick tally was 4. Of course the opposition got plenty.

The Eagles always seemed to rack up a lot of frees at home, not Freo, so things seem to have evened out there, but 40+ is definitely excessive.

42 free kicks??! LOL.
Definitely a LOL, but that's on GWS.

They take the lead in the third quarter, immediately start a melee (albeit not intentionally) and one of their players decides going at Acres in front of the umpire was a good idea, giving away the free kick. Even though we didn't score from Lobb's free kick you'd be fuming if you were Leon Cameron.

Hopefully the trend continues and we can finally be like the rest of the vicco clubs getting all the free kicks.

Well done maggots, lovely work for a change

Why would I need to watch the game to know that's a ridiculous free kick count?
Wait - are you saying you didn't watch the game but turned up to a thread titled "Fremantle Under Longmuir" because someone told you the free kick count?

Wow - can I get your in-depth analysis on the other games as well please?

here is all you need to know (apparently)

Fremantle 11 V Adelaide 32
Fremantle 27 V StKilda 24
Fremantle 22 V West Coast 29

And, just for fun can you give us a rundown on this one from past glories
Hawthorn 70 V Fitzroy 52

I honestly can’t recall getting the rub of the green like that in 27 years of supporting the club. Definitely the exception, not the norm.

The most pleasing aspect for me is the difference in forward 50 pressure compared to last year. You can’t be a seriously good team without bringing that ferocity in the forward half. We’ve got a fair bit to go to get the level of consistency required to play finals but tonight really highlighted the spread of young talent we have and the harder edge some players have gained over summer.
Rewatched the first half today
A lot frees were high contact .
With both teams very fast paced and Freo wanting to be first to the contest , the umpires adjudicated well .
Keen to rewatch the last half and see if it was favouritism or whether GWS lost the plot and got sloppy towards the end

Are you saying the umpires were corrupt or had money on freo to win? LoL.

Looks like an even free kick count to me LOL.

I heard the dockers fans gave Razor Ray a standing ovation and chaired him off the ground lol.

Might even give Razor Ray a statue outside the stadium, right next to Nicky Winmar lol

Griffin Logue was definitely a strange pick.

There was a lot of talk about him being a 2nd round prospect until Freo really sounded him out and he almost went at Pick 8 by default. Always looked like a project player at the championships, not a first round pick.

Funnily enough Freo would have probably taken Naughton - instead of Cerra - the following year if they hasn’t taken Logue.

Ryan and Darcy were great picks later on though.
At the time Griffin Logue was a strange pick. Lookin' back its was a solid pick.

At 192 cm and 90 kg. He could be anything.

He is settled as a 2nd tall at CHB or 3rd tall on a back pocket or half back flank. Has had some good games.

Saying that, he only has kicked 1 goal in his career, a beautiful set shot vs north round 5 in 2017. That was the famous game where Shane Kersten got the winning goal with 30 seconds to go.

Which game?
