Good solid win by the boys... solid contributions from nearly everyone and a consistant 4Q effort.

Look a much more balanced side with McPharlin back at CHB. Just a lot more confident when the ball goes into our defensive 50.

Hope JLo is fine for next week.... he will probably have to come in for Cook. Any other changes? Medhurst? Thornton? Polak?

McPharlin played well down back. His aerial game seems much more suited to a backmans role and he looks much better below his knees in the back half. Spud is an awesome shot at goal and I wonder whether Farmer's six could see Medhurst play the next few games in the wafl.
Black and Longmuir back next week will be big plusses.

On a side noteI don't really see a place for Polak and wouldn't mind seeing him traded for a draft pick (late first round) or midfielder.

Completely forgot about Black. For me, the changes should be...

In: Longmuir, Black
Out: Cook, Webster

I'm with you and can't see how we can fit in Polak and Medhurst. I don't mind Webster but can't see who else to drop.

Stoked with the win! Great effort by the team.

McPharlin an outstanding return to the backline, no more FF for him I think. Was also impressed by Dodd and Peake.

Jeff was very dangerous in the forward line and Murphy has a good kick.

Good performance today, no passengers.
Farmer may have just signed Medhurst's trade papers, obvious it works better when hes on his own he was Brilliant today.
Hopefully this wasnt another one off performance and the boys can string together a few good games together.

It was great to see the boys playing on more in the game and talking on the oposistion. McPharlin did great in defense and will only get better back there with some match fitness. Bell and Josh Carr had leather poisoning. Des Headland was damaging through the midfield and broke the lines and kicked goals as well
Drum did great as well and topped it off with a goal. Farmer kicked a bag and looks a lot more composed

Now we have to carry though this form to take on Melboune :thumbsu:

what a game! upset I missed it though due to it not bieng shown live, listened to it over the net though and sounded great.

Good team effort.

The team clearly looks far better with McPharlin down back. With no obvious matchup for Neitz except McP, I can't see him moving from there next week.

The first time i've ever seen Sandilands change his tactics. Someone obviously had a word to him at half time, and he started taking the ball cleanly out of the ruck and getting passes away far more effectively than his taps, which seem to generally have a magnetic pull towards opposition players. Not something he's going to be able to do every time, but good to know he's got it in him to be able to do it occasionally.

Enjoyable game to watch, Cook is probably gone and Webster probably didn't do enough. Longmuir would be automatic and Black is probably more useful than the above 2.

Mcpharlin back is what we need at the moment, the forward line experiment payed off early and may work again in the future but for now we're so decimated down back its handy to have a rock back there (especially with Johnson not playing as well as he has been).

Like the look of Drum, he looks smooth, bit like Mundy did when he first came in (speaking of Drum, he looked and moved quite similar to that Pendlebury (sp?) bloke I thought, couple of good players there)

Schammer is a bit of an enigma at the moment, needs to find a new niche. Don't want Medhurst traded personally so I wouldn't be disappointed to see him back in the side, but I dunno who i'd want to make way.

Not a bad game from the Dockers

Should ensure you finish around 9th ;)

Seriously though, the team played well today and it was also great to see Farmer getting back to some goalkicking form of yesteryear

Thanks mate, and we didn't even have Scott Mclaren helping us.;)

Sydney got there just deserts for the ugly scragging congested style of play they presented last night

Apparently Mclaren agrees

Thought your side was brilliantly coached. Lets hope Woosha was watching how Johnson, Buckley, Burns and co were tagged and taken out of the game.

By the way, Drum looks like he will be a player. Showed some good aggression and won the ball in some tough contests.

It is exciting to think about Mundy and Drum on the half back flanks for the next decade. Maybe one of them could even develop into a top line midfielder.

Mundy's disposal is always so good and always picks the best option, sometimes I wish he was played a bit further up the ground.

I like the versatilty that Drum shows, and don't agree with supporters who see him as a half back flanker. He's tall, poised, good skills and kicked a goal. His first kick in the AFL was a shot at goal, for a point, and he seems to have been played rarely across half back so far, although at WAFL level that is where he has been.

Yeah, at the moment he is being played half forward, but I think it might just be a makeshift position for the time being. Our backline is set right now and we have a lot of players who can play HB but not HF. What's his height, about 190cm?

We need to really unearth some quick agile ball winners who can first win possesions at stoppages.

Well done to the Coach and his assistants on todays effort, they played a significant part in the victory and deserve to be recognized.

Agreed. Connolly knew his tactics, outcoached Malthouse. Especially impressed by the re-introduction of the torp in the final quarter when the ball was wet enough to hit torps sweetly but not enough to weigh it down. Resulted in 2 goals.

CC also gave the media a bit of a spray to after the match. Caught Dermie with a great comment also :p

It was great to see an actual example of how a coach affects a game in a practical way apart from the game plan, matchups etc. Very good coaching today.

Not enough credit is going to Josh Carr for his efforts. After missing most of last weeks game it looked like he was a man on a mission, he was absolutely sensational! Best player by a land slide!
