Freo's one-way rivalry with Geelong.

Tried to ask this to Geelong supporters on our board, but it was swiftly deleted and i was directed to ask it here.

So i guess fans of all the other clubs can give their opinion too.

Do you find it a bit funny and maybe even a tad sad, Freo's rivalry with Geelong, which only seems to go one way? i.e. - Geelong just don't care for them.

Obviously they've been rubbish for pretty much ever, and as such have been beaten regularly by nearly all the teams. But it's losing to Geelong that gets them angry the most.

It's not just the fans either, Freo's players fire up and can't take it too, with at least one of their players reported in at least the last 3 matches, and scuffles regularly also.

Personally i think it's slightly humorous, the banter and aggression that comes from their side, but from our side it just seems to be a bit of an "Ahhh good old Freo!" and a bit of a smirk.

Ahhh Geelong posters... Who ever said we had a rivalry??. You must have a mountain of evidence to prove you're jibba jabba... surely??? Please provide it

I have lived in Geelong and Freo. Both wonderful places with a great lifestyle.

I suspect Geelong see too much of their own history and culture in Fremantle to be comfortable. Hence the post. Perenial losers, best when celebrating a loss and lacking a strong inner self image.

Maybe you should do a bit of checking up on BF history and the way that a certain Cats Mod overreacted to Freo posters some time ago after a certain game.

When you have finished doing that you might want to wipe the dribble off your chin.

The thing about Freo is nobody particularly cares about them.... and nobody really respects them... so much so that they probably get wins when they shouldnt because so many teams take them lightly as a football club and treat them like the joke they are. Got to admit the Freo V Geelong games at Subi are great to watch.....

From last years PavChoke to this years umpires assisting Geelong to ensure the Saints V Cats blockbuster is still a goer, they are always good value.

Loved the anger Ling gave to the Freo boys. Also enjoyed seeing Mooney miss a goal that an u/10 would kick with ease.
