can I have option 3 please? Don't care just want a win on saturday thank you very much.

A big risk taker huh?;)

Have faith in your own team.

We couldnt do it when we were sitting on top of the ladder and now we are supposedly going to do it from 8th position ???

People are forgetting our form throughout the year.

I am happy to be proven wrong and I am moderately confident, but Hawthorn and North didnt finish above us this year for nothing I think people are writing the hawks and the kangas off way too easy. We couldnt even get close to the bombers a couple of weeks ago at the Telstra Dome.

I just couldnt support Port even if it does prove down the track that it could meant a prelim in Adelaide, I dont want Port to have any advantage to get them to a grand final especially if we get eliminated.

Being an optomistic supporter I think we will make the PF.

Would rather play Port instead of WCE, which is why I'll be barracking for Port Power.

Simple.

True, there would be nothing better than seeing port secure a home prelim final and then for us to go down to the hawks the next day

No thanks, I would rather see the Eagles beat them. I know I would rather play Port at AAMI rather than WCE, but Adelaide being in the prelim is only an outside chance. If Port gets over the line against the Eagles and we dont make the prelim you can just about write them into the Granny.

Some people are being far too cocky about our chances when you consider our inconsistent season.

Have some faith ya dingbat :)

Crows >>>> Power.

Hence why I will be barracking hard for Port Power as it is better for us to play them in the PF than WCE.

I honestly cannot believe anyone would be wanting WCE to win. I cannot fathom it.

The flip side being that if port win and Adelaide lose either this week or next (both very real possibilities) that port are basically handed a GF start by securing a home PF if they win this week.

It's a double edged sword unfortunately! If Adelaide aren't able to win the next couple i'd much rather WCE win and get the home PF!

Im for Port as its makes it a better run for the AFC should we progress that far and I would love nothing more than the AFC to pound them into the turf in the PF and then load up the choke taunts afterwards:D

i just dont understand why u guys hate port so much, i always go for the crows when they are not playing us. i mean cmon we are all south australian, give us a little love!! :thumbsu:

Its not Port Adelaide I hate...Its the majority of there blow-hard supporters!
Then theres the fence sitting variety that barrack for South Australian teams LOL:rolleyes:FFS get a team.

I was like you Vader, torn with indecision but then I realised the folly in that.

Since 2002 these are the figures this man has obtained playing AFL finals.

Find a player with better stats in AFL finals?

He'll be the one they talk about in 50 years, and he'll be the player to win WCE the game.

Could not ever bring myself to barrack for the Port filth, which is why I will watch it as an impartial spectator. Of course I know that Port winning would be the best result for us if we manage to beat Hawthorn and whoever we play after that.

What would we rather have boys?

Win the 2007 premiership without playing the eagles?
I don't think I'd like that.

Don't forget last year against the eagles in the prelim we had by the far the shittest forwardline in the comp but still nearly won..

Now we have Gill, Roo, K-mac, Porpz etc we will beat WCE if we face them in the prelim in subiaco no doubt about it.

here here and I think better the devil you know than the devil you dont so I will take a port loss knowing that it will make it even harder for them to make the grand final than a port win due to a slim possibility that we might play them.

We might or might not beat WCE at Subi; suppose we do, we then front up to the G for the biggie having travelledtoperth the week b4 and having travelled for 5 weeks.
I'd back whoever we play in that case.

I really don't care who wins on Friday night... I couldn't barrack for either side - nearly killed me to barrack for Wet Toast against St Kilda a couple of weeks ago. Nope, can't and won't barrack for either. IF we win the next two weeks and make a prelim, we need to be prepared to play whoever it is that qualifies, wherever it is.

So you don't care about how our most fierce rivals fare in September?

Not really, more interested in how my team goes and the rest are just who we have to beat to get our hands on that cup.

Lose-lose situation all round really. The question then becomes, which is the lesser of two evils?
Win-win as far as I can see.

Pot beat West Coast and we get to knock them off in a home preliminary final.

Port lose to West Coast and we get to knock them off in a grand final.

Haven't seen the romantic sentiment of it being the only chance of one last home game for Roo if Port win tomorrow. ;)

I'd be hoping that Port win so if we manage to win 2 finals (unlikely) we'd meet them in a prelim final at AAMI. Won't be easy though since we would need to play two games in Melbourne and no 8th placed side has reached week 3.

But I think West Coast might get the win on Friday Night, Experience will get them over the line. They will be super deadly and hungry to repeat. Eagles still the team to beat, forget about Geelong. Port could be doomed if they were to meet Collingwood in week 2.

I'm barracking for the biggest choke.

Is it Port winning tonight, getting a home preliminary final and getting beaten in two weeks time?

Or is it Port losing its only two finals?

Can't bring myself to support Port. Let's be honest, odds are still against us that we will win 2 away finals to make the prelim, do we really want Port having a home prelim against Kangaroos or Hawthorn?

Even if West Coast wins, we still have a chance of beating them come the prelim. History suggests that the team who limps into finals with injuries cn often muster up a big performance week 1, before falling in the prelim.

'03 - Depleted Sydney knocks off Port at AAMI only to lose home prelim to Brisbane.
'05 - Depleted St Kilda knocks off Adelaide (10 wins on trot) at AAMI only to lose home prelim to Sydney.
'06 - Depleted Adelaide knocks off Freo (who'd won 9 on the trot), only to lose home prelim to West Coast.
'07 - ??? History could repeat with WCE.
