Surprised me how well he went tonight and performed his role very well as he was never beaten one on one.

He does still make me nervous when he has the ball in hand, but for an inexperienced rookie I am quite impressed.

I dunno. That dash where he shrugged off Franklin, burst away from another defender then drilled it through the corridor was pretty special.

Agreed we have been in dire need of an attacking defender for a while now, Frosty fits that description to a T. Only 4 games under his belt and he produces a stand out performance against a quality opponent, not only holding him to 2 goals (one from a b/s free and the other from a towering 55 meter bomb pass) but turning the tables and surging us forward turning attack into defense.

Anyone you didn't like that performance and the promise of improvement then you are very hard to please indeed.

Please help me whittle down the following working titles for Jack's Tuesday post-match video review against Buddy:-

- Sending Buddy to the cooler
- Tonight, hell freezes over
- Cooool party
- Revenge is a dish best served freezing
- Let's kick some ice
- Stay cool Birdboy

That's why Keeffe isn't playing

Exactly. He was selected ahead of Keeffe due to his preseason form. Looks like with Browns injury they'll both be playing together next week. Depth in our backline was always going to be an issue for us this season....it will be interesting to see how the new breed go together in tandem next week!!

Woweee!! Didn't see that coming, now I see why Bucks has faith in this kid. Could be a gem, great game. Really great job on the comps best forward!!
Its amazing isn't it that posters don't know as much as Buckley, yet those posters tell us every day how wrong Buckley is.

Frost was very good last night and he has a dip no doubt, also has plenty of toe.

I like the fact he has a bit of mongrel in his game as well,it would be great if we can get him and Marley established down back together that would take care of our tough stuff for the best part of a decade.

A diamond in the rough is Frost and we will need to upgrade his contract if he keeps that form going as others will be circling, like Marley frost won,t die wondering.:thumbsu:

On face value my first impression was how well he played. But I've seen a Frost get pumped by nobodies so I wonder if this was more Franklin just playing a RARE stinker against us.

Be interested to see how Frost handles a Geelong forward next week.

I notice the "Ice" theme in his nick name, which I get totally. I prefer to think of him as our token albino.

He suits the athletic talls more then the gorilla types, Brown suits the gorilla types so it's a good mix.

A great game from him.

Although, very lucky Franklin didn't get possession when Frost left him all alone at some of those stoppages.

Looked pretty deliberate to me. Frost was standing the other side of the stoppages. Possibly because he might not have been able to stick with him through the stoppage.

Buddy does the same crap every time. He runs through the middle of a stoppage.

Great game by Frost, once he starts sticking his marks will be even better gets his hands to the ball a lot of times but just drops the mark, but with more games and experience this should change.
Get Reid back their and spine in the backline is set for the next 7 years with Brown and Keefe as back up.

It did, but was that of Frost's own volition or a gameplan?

Because the other players seemed pretty bewildered by it.

Yeah, Frost was either instructed or didn't think that he could go with Buddy through all the traffic, so he kept goal side of him. Made sure to position himself so that if Buddy was able to scoop up the ball, he wouldn't be going far with it. Was weird seeing Buddy free at the stoppages, though.

Perhaps our coaches have decided to not try and match his ability to gather through the stoppages and just make sure he can't use it effectively when he does get it?

If so very clever, even if it does mean the occasional goal because few can match Buddy through stoppages.

The iceman cometh what I like is the pace with Marley back Frost and Ben Sinclair we have finally got genuine speed out of the back half . The kids are starting to come.Who knows what the side or best 22 is going to look like at seasons end.

He has played 4 games at afl level. What nobodies have pumped him , assuming you mean the VFL ? VFL i admiteddly dont watch a lot of , but im sure the pressure from the mids at AFL level and the help from fellow defenders would be more obliging than VFL. Not posting just to disagree, posting as im curious as to who has pumped him.

I think what he has that Keefe and Brown dont is a turn of speed. Probably even border line more aggression and attack on the ball than those two as well.
