:D

Although I must admit he has improved and is becoming more reliable, but it'll be a while before someone convinces me that he should be the leader of the pack.

Three or four years is a long time.
John**** is not leadership material at the moment, but if he keeps improving the way that he has, in four years he could very well be it.
He has a high level of commitment, and in four year time he may be able to get that out of the others.

I think one of the problems with the Crows is that there isn't an obvious stand-out for future Captain.

I actually think the leadership there right now is a bit weak. Roo has done little as Captain. He occasionally inspires with some good play, but gives away too many free kicks with irresponsible tackles.

Macca's a great guy, but quiet and introverted, and sometimes goes missing during the game.

Stenglein seems good, but again, quiet. We always seem to recruit "nice" guys - maybe they need someone with a little arrogance. I'm sure that's why they didn't pick Pavlic - they chose Kenny instead!

I think Stinger would be a great captain. I think he has all the qualitys and I know the AFC regard him very highly.

I would also say that the super spunk James Begley is also a future captain. He was given big rapts when he first went to the Saints.

Nobody, but nobody will live up to Mark Bickley though. He is the captain of all captains. I love him dearly and if only we could clone him so we could have him forever.

Never a truer word said, MarksGirl-kbcrowgirl . Even though he hasn't officially been the captain for some time now, he has still been the leader IMO.

They showed vision of Bicks on Ch 9 tonight and he is definitely NOT going on next year. He said that he deliberately announced his retirement at the end of the year at a very early stage of the season to remove the temptation to go on. He wants to go out on a good note by having a good final year, and plays every game as if it is his last.

Geez we will miss him!!

Bugger it!!! Let's clone him!! ;)
