Personally I'd get back to that one next year. Having said that I think some of the figures thrown around are complete rubbish. Always sounded like it'd take more money for him to leave Perth than it would to re-sign with Freo.

I really wanted Fyfe to quietly re-sign right after that instantly forgettable breakfast radio nuffie (I legit can't even remember who the **** it was) made that absolutely ridiculous call about the situation. The melts on the Saints board would have been so delicious.

Fyfe is worth serious dollars to Freo re sponsorship ,membership, merchandise sales as well as his on field value . I think the intelligent supporter realise he will get well over the million mark .

I would have thought with the new CBA that $1.2M would not be unreasonable. $6M over 5 years sounds pretty good.

Anything more than that I think might be considered overs.

I would have been happy over the last few years if he was on $1million a year.

With the new deal in place that's now $1.2million which I would be happy with now... but that means he's not really getting a payrise.

Good news. Will be happier to see the official word from the club when it's all done. Even when he's been coming back from a long lay off and down on his Brownlow winning form, he's still one of the best players in the comp and there's no reason why he wont get back close to that high level again.

Great for the club. Hopefully leads to more signings from the youngsters as well.

Would be annoyed if it was over 1.3 a year I think, but sometimes you have to pay a little. There aren't too many screaming out for big money just yet, so if it's front loaded it could help out Freo big time when we're looking to contend/trying to keep young guys in a few years
