If he leaves it will be for premierships and honestly unless it's GWS who are basically guarenteed one then he is better off staying at Fremantle. + I highly doubt he would move to Sydney to play Infront of 10 people a week

The captaincy is voted on by the players, so it's up to them. The players have shown in the past that they tend to stick with the incumbent.

For the best part of a decade the incumbent has been Pavlich so that might not be as much of an indicator as you think

Yes. Obviously. But the leadership team has been pretty consistent too, with very few changes over the last decade, mostly based on whether a player is still in the first 18.
