It's a different footy world today! Any player could leave his club if the money has enough pull on him. Judd. Ablett Jr. Franklin. Fyfe could add his name to that list. Time will tell! I'd expect Fyfe to stay but season 2017 would be important factor in dictating Nat's financial future!

I agree 100%, but the offers Bud and GAJ got from Sydney and Gold Coast dwarfed what they were offered to stay at their former clubs, that will not be the case with Fyfe.

Even Judd was offered a payment package that was miles above anyone else. That extra $300,000 outside the cap to him from the President's company put it out of reach for anyone else and then the AFL changed the rules on third party deals.

Thought 5 and 13 was fair for a contracted Fyfe yet wanted 2 first rounders for a 28 year old Gibbs. Says it all really, Thought 2 measily draft picks not even both in the top 10 could get the best player in the comp who has only just turned 25.

Gibbs is contracted for a further 3 years at the Blues. Obviously not the same level of talent as Fyfe, but Gibbs isn't a FA next season.

My Richmond supporter mate keeps on saying Fyfe is gone for sure!
I explain to him that Fyfe is a RFA,still doesn't get that we can match the offer from a rival club or he risks going to brissy......Won't happen.

Little bit of goss....Where I'm working at present the young guy who lives on the property mentioned his best man at his upcoming wedding is really good mates with Fyfe.And he reckons Fyfe is such a tiny chance of leaving Freo it's not even worth considering.
He said Nat absolutely loves the FFC.

Don't think for a second money would be a motivation for Fyfe, just doesn't seem that sort of lass

I think the only chance of him leaving would be if he doesn't see Premiership success being on the horizon at Freo

If the Dockers miss the Finals again (highly unlikely IMO) i think that might make him look elsewhere

tldr; Dockers will re-sign him if 2017 goes well/is going well

If he leaves it will be for premierships and honestly unless it's GWS who are basically guarenteed one then he is better off staying at Fremantle. + I highly doubt he would move to Sydney to play Infront of 10 people a week

Sorry to interrupt. I would think SOS would be heavily into him. I suspect Carlton were hoping to get rid of Gibbs, pick up Adelaide's pick next year and salary cap relief. He played tough but I think he's secretly disappointed. They could take Fyfe as RFA or throw in a few draft picks as sweeteners.
