Surely if you started with him, you keep him. Why? Because inevitably, he WILL start pumping out 150's and you WILL want him back.

When he does:

1) you'll need to burn another trade to get him back
2) you'll get burnt scoring wise by not having him and a high percentage of others will
3) you may need to forego an opportunity to do an upgrade/corrective trade or trade in a rookie on the bubble because you need to use a trade to get GAJ back.

Prick tried to chicken wing him.

I was concerned watching him and was worried every time he got tackled but he still pumped out a good score. Got to just stick with him now. I reckon it's just a confidence thing with going with one hand etc, once he gets used to the bit of pain/discomfort of shoulder he will be a lot more confident going forward. Hoping he get's that confidence up with an easy kill over St Kilda but Mav Weller is a good tagger so he will have his work cut out. Good thing is the Suns will be stung after that loss, will come out on the weekend with a point to prove hopefully led by Gazza.

That chicken wing tackle ruffled his feathers and he was clearly in preservative mode for rest of game. I think his aim was to just get through his first competitive hitout in several months. I expect a different Gaj this week exerting more pressure around packs and laying tackles.

IMO I would be surprised if he plays this week tbh...

I guess the next question is if he doesn't get selected do u still keep him?

GAJ will make my team when he comes good. I just think that he's not worth the money. Leaving him out left me with a 6 + 2 midfield of;

Danger, Wines, Swallow, Fyfe, Parker, Jelwood + Rookies which I'm pretty happy with. Though I had Swallow & Jelwood dog it on me, they're pretty small concerns really.

Unfortunately Gaz needs a few weeks for his shoulder to heal. He might keep playing all season and average 110-120. But at his price it ain't good enough. Can get Lewis in 150k cheaper to average the same and I can fix up my backline.

Could be a winning move by jumping off before the rest of the 45% does. Got a bit of the Bruyn Manoeuvre about it.

2 prems in, Hawks won't lose all year going by yesterday's game.

GAJ did more than kick two goals in the last quarter. I was at the game and distinctly remember a clearance on the members wing on the half back flank and a handball in the pocket. Therefore that link shows he didn't get 49 points for two goals.

I never said he got 49 points for 2 goals. Where did I say that? I suggested kick+goal = 9DT points. He did that twice in the final quarter which = 18DT. I suggested perhaps he had another kick in the final quarter (I can't remember him touching it much in the last) which is 3DT.

So in what I can remember, it's 2 goals, and a kick for 21DT, 49SC. All I've done is a simple calculation in relation to what I KNOW he did in the last quarter (2 goals for 18DT) and then suggest to get to 21DT for the quarter, he had another kick somewhere.

Read my post above. 21DT (2 goals from general play = 18DT). To gain another 3 DT points I assume he just had another kick, as I can't recall him getting it much in the last quarter.

I definitely remember him handballing out of congestion on the back flank members wing in the last quarter. Recall it as though it was 5 minutes ago, but that doesn't fit with your assumptions.

Also, that kick that you've factored in would be worth 15 odd SC points if it was 40m+ on to the chest of a teammate that then kicked a goal. Distance of a kick, effectiveness and goal assists are irrelevant in DT.

All guess work though.
