At the end of the day, anything you read on this board is an opinion. It's up to you to weigh up all the advice and make your own decision. I traded out Dusty, but I did so in order to allow me to get Hogan in to my side. IMO holding Dusty and missing out on Hogan was a bad move. I'm completely happy with my trade, even after Dusty's 138 or whatever and have 0 regrets. It's also allowed me to move Cripps to Swan and Goodes to Docherty. I knew I'd need to make three trades in the first two weeks to make corrections, therefore I had to make a trade last week to free up cash.

I wanted to wait on GAJ because of who he is. He's earnt the right over the years to be given a chance IMO. I'm still not convinced trading GAJ is the right move. He'll end up in your side by the end of the year even if you do trade him out, so that's two trades spent. He had a pretty hard tag on him last night, and the rest of his team didn't given him much support.

Personally I've already put forward hundreds of opinions this year alone. No doubt some will be proven right and some will be proven wrong. Coming in to this thread and saying "hahah you are all ******s, I told you so" is just plain childish. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and this board wouldn't exist without them. Your opinion is no more valid, nor invalid, than anyone else on this board. Whether you turn out to be correct, or incorrect is irrelevant too. I argued extensively against Furphy and Wingard before last season. People still chose to take them. They were flops, but I didn't come on here saying how good I was because I got it right and everyone else were useless because they took those players. Hindsight is brilliant, we're all experts in that arena. You say trade him, they say keep him; there's nothing wrong with that. So please, do not sit there and take pot shots at other people just because they give an opinion you don't agree with.

He's got to go. Maybe after the bye? He looks shot. Can't justify the cost.

Agreed, his price will drop substantially. Will bring him back in when he starts to hit form at a cheaper price then now
 
I love the man but he can't tackle or mark and doesn't get himself into positions to win contested ball like he has effortlessly done in the past. Also is spending way too much time up forward and isn't getting any help from his teammates. Can't keep him.

Keeping him because you want him in your final team.

I'm sure you have other areas to correct before Ablett. If say, he averages 119 over the next 6 games - his trough will be $600k. Youll be needing both Yolmen and Vandenberg to average 88 to possibly bring him in.

So sad about this. At least it makes the decision on keeping Cripps easy. Lets just hope he's average for another month and then comes good at 600K and we can do what it takes to get him back.

I never had him, I'm just saying if I DID I would get rid of him. You are back at that 119 mark again,how much does he lose at 100 for the next 6 weeks?

Yeah, would have changed the whole structure of my team if I knew he would have been like this (would have probably had a better D4 than what KK is now).

Could go well below $600k if he's like this for the next month or so.
 
I've got gaz and beams.... Both dissappointing thus far. I see gaz having a bigger role as the season progresses (and no doubt everyone will jump on him when he scores 150+), so I'm perhaps in the minority who is likely to keep him.

If he recovers fast, he's the best player in the league.... The worrying issue is he's had all offseason to get it right.

Am I making the right decision trading out beams (for someone like JPK, Sloane, shiels) and keeping the little master?

If I trade him out to avoid a price drop, I'm essentially missing out on a NVB or VDBerg, whom I could bring in this week and nullify abletts drop.

Good start if you never had him and got most of your initial premiums correct.

His next 6 weeks; GEE, GWS, BRIS, ADE, WCE, COLL. If he averages 100, hell drop to $550k.

I can see where you (and most) are coming from. I'm not too worried about his tackle numbers. I'm backing him to have more confidence in his body, and winning more possessions (in particular contested footy).

Keep Cripps mate. Carlton stink so he will get time in the guts soon. Probally next week.

Trade out Goodes. Dogs are playing well and he only got a 1/4 of a game. Can't rely on him.
Downgrade him to a playing rookie. Oxley, Saad or McIntosh.

Gaz to Sloane or Pendles for me. Or to Vandenberg and upgrade Goodes to Docherty instead.

You'd be scoring 2500 instead of 2400 and everyone else's season would be shot being so far back.

Yeah. Real shame. We all feel for you :rolleyes:
