game this weekend

we are playing essenscum this Saturday at OPTUS OVAL!!

one would imagine that we will field a bunch of teenagers sprinkled with early 20's.

well, I'll be there to provide a report, but i'm not sure how many others will be! maybe some of the young victorians relatives!

interestingly, we now have 11 or so vics on our list plus Wooden who is close enough all things considered., compare that to the late 80's early 90's.

according to the injury list in today's paper....

Phil Matera (shoulder) 1-2 weeks
Michael Prior (knee) 1-2 weeks
Mark Seaby (knee) test
Drew Banfield (knee) test
Andrew McDougall (ankle) test


hopefully that means a run out for Gaspar, perhaps McDougall, Embley, Hanson, another look at Humm, Glass, Sampi and Haynes. Anyone know if we can play rookie listed players in these games or do they have to be part of the 38??

I think the rookie players are allowed to play - I haven't heard any rule that they aren't allowed to play

Anyone else hear that next week there might be a game at Subiaco Oval - Eagles vs Kangaroos?

if that is in reference to this weekend, I'm pretty sure today's Herald-Scum lists the game as 2pm at Optus ... not sure on price, although I would be suprised if it was more than $5, it's only a practice game!

Daddy 4 Eyes and anyone else interested the game starts at 1pm not 2pm as written in the paper. I've been told the gates open between 10.30-11.00 from the office but they are not 100% sure. They will be resting a lot of the stars as expected. Join us in the cheer squad area in front of the new stand if you want to. Kodie.
