I've loved Porps' efforts so far, it's like he's stopped feeling sorry for himself and forced his way into playing well (as of half time anyway). He is really busting a gut out there to have an impact.

So far I couldn't have been happier with the result, particularly considering how slippery it is out there. Our intensity at the ball is second to none, our pressure in the forward line and in the corridor is fantastic, and we are actually making the most of our forward 50 entries. Kudos also goes to our defence, it wouldn't be easy knowing that you could slip at any moment and give up an easy goal, but they've been ultra clean back there.

The twin towers in Tippett and Walker - really the first time where both of these blokes are having a day out at the same time. It shows that the combo can work and it is paying dividends. As soon as Walker started with that brilliant pickup in what is essentially wet conditions, I knew he was going to have a good one. Hopefully he can snag one or two more before the final siren, but even if he doesn't he really help set us up for a win.

Porplyzia's intensity has been wonderful to see. His tackling is back, his hands (how about that mark before half time!?) are back, the week off seems to have done him good. Good decision to start him in the guts and get his touch back right from the beginning.

Van Berlo's efforts at ball are fantastic. He can frustrate with his disposal but his endevour you cannot question.

Thompson has been a clearance machine. Has hit some good form over the past month.

As I said, the defence has been rock solid. Stiffy is killing it, Goody's run and precision is his usual standard. I always feel comfortable wi.h the ball in Davis hands. Great stuff.

Dougy seems a bit more fumbly than everyone else but 18 disposals at half time is great work from the little guy. He just racks it up these days.

Armstrong started shaky but to his credit has really come back well. Loved his lace out delivery in the second quarter.

Really can't fault anyone right now. Essendon will come back, no doubt about it, but the effort so far by our blokes cannot be questioned. The intensity, the run, the willingness to take risks and play positive footy is a sight to see.
