Looking at the rest of the season and thinking about the games that we can win.

Round 6 - Geelong @TD
Can win this they are in a similar position to us in that they have a lot of young kids in their side and if we can play as well as we did on Saturday then we are a big chance.

Round 7 - Port @ AAMI
Another we can win especially after last years win will give the players confidence heading over there for the game.

Round 9 - Essendon @ MCG
The Dons have looked a little shaky in recent weeks and we have not been too far of a win. 2 wins against them last year should again give us confidence.

Round 10 - Lions @ TD
Another side we beat twice last year and with a few senior players due back by then we could well get over them again. Believe we match up on them very well and at the Dome should be full of confidence again.

Round 12 - Melbourne @ MCG
Tough as we are coming off the break and travelling to WA the round before. Their down on confidence at present and have a long injury list. Could be right for the picking.

Round 13 - Saints @ TD
Will be tough as they have been a bogey side for us but they are not playing well lately and if we get back a few old heads could cause a bit of an upset.

Round 14 Kangaroos @ TD
Are playing hard tough footy at present but that will take its toll on the younger kids they are playing. Another good chance for a win

Round 15 -Hawthorn @ MCG
Big game and we owe them after last year. Will be a game that is decided by how well the younger players go as it seems experience wise both teams are pretty even.

Round 16 - Port @ MCG
On our ground and we should win this

Round 19 - Pies @ MCG
Were not that far off last time and will be keen to get one back on them.

Round 21 - Essendon @ MCG
Will be tough as it is Hirds last game in Melbourne so expect them to be hard to beat. Though if we want to be seen as improving we have to beat sides like the Dons.

Round 22 - Saints @ MCG
Last home game for us and would be great to finish off the season on a winning note for once. Just to head into the off season on a good feeling rather than getting belted like last year.

That gives us 12 games we are at least 50-50 to win. Doubt we will win them all but to get 8-10 would be nice and show that we are heading in the right direction although a little lower than last years ladder position.

Being honast.

Those are the games we can win but you just dont know in footy. We need to get a win of some sort first though to be any chance. Hopefully we can sneak a few wins which we arent expected to (or not a 50/50 chance) but it all has to start this week v Geelong.

I think a lot of us would have thought we could beat both Carlton and Collingwood at the start of the year.

Yeah, I'd say we are a chance in all of those, but will only end up winning 3 or 4 at most.

Would be great to beat the Cats this week. They'll come out knowing their season is on the line though.

Unfortunately I think the tigers are headed for the wooden spoon by the looks of the weekly selections. Wallace has given up and is playing all the youngsters already and hope that they can pick up some top draft picks, who are ready made for afl, like a franklin or thomas.

Round 5 - Geelong @TD
Can win this they are in a similar position to us in that they have a lot of young kids in their side and if we can play as well as we did on Saturday then we are a big chance..

the pussies are at the backs to the wall stage and now we are the next team to face them. Why is it us that seems to be the next team an opposition faces, when the media is putting the blow torch to them?

Good test for us. We are not contenders for finals, so lets show the rest who the pretenders are. If we beat them, bomber will be lining up at Centrelink the next week. ;)

Not sure about carlton. But 4 out of the 5 teams we got beaten by so far will play finals and probably finish in the top 6.

Statistically, we can beat every team outside of that.

We don't have any choice but to play the youngsters. All other senior guys we have are injured.

Last year when the Cats had the blowtorch applied they folded like a deck of cards. I don't see that as being a problem this week:thumbsu:

I predict we will win around 5 of these and probably 1 or 2 randoms against sides compared to which we're complete underdogs.

I don't have high and mighty hopes for the season's ladder finish, but I reckon we'll be a quite few from the bottom.

The side has been very competitive and have chllenge up to halfway through the last quarter. Its just they seem run out of legs. The players further afield need to do more, I dont blame the back line and they can hold their own.

beat geelong by ten goals.
