Rumour Gastro

I reckon it’s true, you guys did shit yourself in the first half.

You can’t complain too much of a few players were sick. You’ve had an incredibly good injury run the passed 2yrs.

The most famous gastro story is the All Blacks being poisoned by a Saffa chef before the 95 World Cup

Sue was her name, allegedly.

Kiwis still carry on about it. Only exceeded by the underarm.

Haere Ra

I don't have gastro but I will be physically be sick to my stomach if this garbage side wins it. It could well go down as the all time worst side to win a flag. A total robbery.

A stock standard mid field with a no name back line and a home brand forward line with a dumb Lurch American who can't kick 40 as the cherry on top.
I actually think Collingwood's midfield is one of the best in the league, and I think that's why they'll win tomorrow.

Doesn't mean I want them to though

That was pretty much what everyone else in the country thought when you guys won last year. Minus having a Lurch in your forward line

Two Brownlow medalist , all Australian captain and multiple Coleman medalist all on top of other numerous All Australians.......

I think not.

Maybe we did have a bout of it going around, maybe we didn’t.

In the end Pies smashed us and there’s no point being sore losers and making excuses.
Agreed, the best we can hope for is that we gave it to Collingwood too.

Maybe Dimma had gastro during the game, and that's why he wasn't able to man up Sidebottom for the entire first half.

No excuses. Pies too good and deserve GF spot.

I only hope the club doesn't screw up list decisions and game plan changes to fix something that maybe doesn't need to be.

Or conversely not change something (eg. Grigg rucking) thinking the flu is why we lost when it wasn't..

Good call we over-corrected badly after the Carlton EF loss

Illness or not, our players definitely looked flat. Collingwood were unbelievably good. I reckon they would've won on the night even if we were 100%, they really were on strong.

Like the Dogs of 2016, and us last year, they played their absolute best footy in September... only difference is that for them, it still wasn't enough! Sad.

Just heard from father in law that he had a doctors appointment with a doctor (funnily enough) connected to the club, said 8 guys had gastro

If this is true the fact we clawed it back in the second half is remarkable

Dont doctors have a code not to speak such stuff?

Some of the stuff they did during the year wasn't great.
I remember when Trent did a late bump on an opponent and came off second best with an injury.
Of course, Graham hyper-extended his arm with a late unnecessary tackle.
It is great to be aggressive and all that but we overdid it this year and paid the price.
Focus on skills first.
I hope to God that Dusty was not injured in a training simulation.
No-one has explained it to us.
Overall, I hope the gastro was not as pervasive as you said it was.
Besides, every week they have a public injury report released in consultation with doctors.
You would think in the lead-up to a PF they would observe a routine including regular diet.
