What are we seeing ?

Are we seeing a player so wound up in the froward pressure wolfpack mentality that he is trying to do somethings..that is not natural at ?

Are we see Gary channeling his inner GA Sr and suddenly trying to up his game to include the physical element or perhaps even further enforcement?

I say former rather than the later... and GA should now be told in no uncertain terms that twice now he is a bee's whatever away from a really bad outcome that could seriously alter his reputation for the worse. If he broke a guys nose or or worse.. it would drastically change how he thinks about himself or how he is seen. Its a bad habit that has the potential to not only hurt someone..but imagine a high pressure final and you just clip a guy a tad earlier or later and a tad harder... and he misses a big PF or or GF cause of this rubbish. He should go and ask players what its like to miss those games thru stuff they regret. thru stuff that was just a moment of losing the zone.

Ablett is guilty of being a bit dumb and a bit too focused on doing stuff not in his natural makeup ..he is not the greatest player by being as good as Rooke at the hurt stuff. He is trying to do that which is the team mantra but its leading him to which that he should not be doing. Tackle OK ..but he is not a bumper ..not really.. I could never seen Jr doing a Sr on a Johnston or another player. He is more likely to hurt his shoulders again. What a waste that would be.

Amazingly he is on his way to repairing his image and reminding all of what he has don before was not some sort of fake memory.

Time for CS to get fair and square with him. PUT THE ARMS AWAY GARY. Do the stuff you are good at , and if someone has got around you then just suck it up , and chase but you are not helping the team with the arms stuff. Sticking an arm out is only going to result in a bad outcomes..and not have much if any good outcome.

Will get offered a week, if we challenge or not is the question but I reckon the GFC will let it slide this time.

Based on the coach's comments after the game, I figure that's very long odds.

They took it to the Tribunal last week and won. I believe they will absolutely back themselves to do so again.

Will revolve around the question of force this time, in my opinion. Seems 'insufficient force' or 'low impact', at worst. Given it can't be rationally graded as 'intentional' as it's definitely an attempt to block (despite it being a really poor example of how to do that), I think he's every chance to get off again.

And the club (and Gaz) will be very keen to defend his disciplinary record once again, particularly when there is no threat of a longer suspension if you contest the charge.

They may still rest him for the weekend. For myself, I really hope they wait till the following week. Either way, I don't see the club lying down and copping this one when it's clearly yet another marginal on-field issue.

Gaz untidy, but you can't suspend someone it it's insufficient force.
The guy who got Rohan was shepherding, and the fact it was accidental might not save him, which is a shame.

Had no impact so should be graded as careless, he does however needs to work in his technique and learn to control his frustration.

We all get old Gaz you’re still useful so don’t dwell on the loss of speed
Happy if the fine is tripled, but a suspension for what was really just a free kick....NO

Ive watched this vision numerous times already and I can honestly say that it doesn't look good, he almost veers in his direction to line him up, its going to be tough for the MRP to let that one slide, it looks worse that it probably is but the vision doesn't lie. Dont be surprised if North have crucified Gaz in the medical report by making up rubbish.

North owe us one after Selwood's testimony allowed Brent Harvey to play in a final a few years back.

Not sure how they do that given Wright took his kick and played out the game. He didn't even go off the ground.

Its not the end result its the action, the fact that he lined him up and hit him high makes it seem deliberate and if thats the case he will get a week.

It's generally the consequence of the action more than anything. That's how they determine the level of force.

Dont watch the impact. Watch the change of direction and three steps gaz took before the impact. Thats why gaz is in trouble. He lined him up like an old fashioned snipe behind the play.

Yep exactly what I was trying to say, it doesnt look good, just because Wright wasn't hurt doesn't mean it wasn't deliberate (which it clearly was), im not sure how he argues his way out of it.

That is pretty much all that needs to be watched in this case.

Clearly deliberate? Turn it up.

50-50 on that one...I am not a huge fan of the shepherding on the mark, whether those stationary basketball picks made popular by the likes of Maxwell and Gibson (which is a real bug bear of mine) or an incident like this. He may not have meant to hurt him, but he chose to bump and did hurt him.
