Ehh we didn't really stuff it up. I don't think anyone even had him top 5 in their draft lists did they? Other than the bloody dogs. Just would have been nice in hindsight.

Bont- Jarrod Brennan 2.0?

McDonald- Locked into Norf

Jack was the safe pick, and the correct one at the time.

If we get the players in this trade period to win more clearances & CPs (say Rockliff & Steele), I have no doubts that Jack Billings on the outside will be huge in 2017

literally the only thing keeping Billings from taking the next step is his confidence. you can see it in his eyes. remember his first ever goal? 1-2 on the wing/half back, runs to 50 and drills it. you know why? cos he had no time to doubt himself. as its gone on (especially the latter half of this year) the doubt has grown

and I dunno if this has happened or not, but there's probably SAINTS fans heckling him at the game. does no good for his head

believe in the kid, cos he will be a ****ing weapon for us. I would take him at 3 all over again. and again. and again

Remember for a big chunk of that first year the Dogs fans were very concerned on what they'd done. He improved pretty quickly in the second half obviously. Good on them for backing themselves, but it's not one I feel we missed. That's all hypothetical, captain hindsight stuff.
