Doesn't your last paragraph sort of contradicts your first. You are either saying the umpires cheat or are incompetent for WCE in the first and then say the AFL are so keen for Sydney to be good they let them go over the SC. The funny thing is about the first 20 posts last night were on Sydney getting the great run with umps.

Yep, didn't notice that at the time. It's just for ages I wondered how the Swans seem to be able to fit guys under their salary cap and the only time they were worried I think they traded off Everett to Carlton or something like that, hardly would have made a scratch on their salary cap. Just when you think they couldn't possibly do any more they put Henney on a five year contract worth heaps. I just don't know how they manage it.

Poor goalkicking seems to be somewhat of a competition epidemic at the moment:

St Kilda
Collingwood
Melbourne
Geelong

All have suffered badly from it at times this year.
