If we don't absolutely destroy Melbourne in a couple of weeks I'll be disappointed. Essendon are still playing shit (not as shit as last week though) and they just can't do anything.

We beat both of these teams and I am wondering how on earth Melbourne got anywhere near us.

Should have beaten them by 6 goals.

Really for a team with a dozen more top ten picks than us, they play bruise free football and are very lazy on the spread.

I know we dominated the Demons a week or so back, but how we didn't beat them by 6 is amazing.

On todays effort we are a moral to do them in a few weeks

They're just so inconsistent. Like you said, should be much better with all their high picks. Just shows how crap their development has been.

I have say I'm surprised the dons are winning. I didn't think they'd win another game after last week. I notice that BJ and Gwilty seem to be up in the top 8 in stats terms. Good to see them both, particularly Gwilt, do well.

Hurley on Hogan and Hurley's been very good. BJ and Gwilt have also been very good. Gwilt'd disposal good in the back half. BJ playing well in the middle going in hard.

Laverde has hardly been sighted. 5 disposals playing forward I think.

Melb coming hard, 2 points down look the better team. 6.18, they've missed some sitters.

Laverde looks like a good size. He's a tall lad and more physically developed than I would've thought. Perhaps he's on an injecting program? Hehe. He looks very outside without too much of an inside game tho. Hardly touched the ball. At this early stage McKenzie looks better but early days. Goddard will take time.
