I was thinking about this specifically with Kozzy. Small forwards are usually the kings of running into open goals but literally ALL his goals are medium to hard difficulty. Compare that to our last small forwards who was a scoring threat in Garlett and over half his goals were out the back.

On one hand it’s a good thing we as could score a lot more if we are brave enough but in the other hand it isn’t sustainable to work so hard to score.

Spargo and ANB aswell though, they just don't get handballs over the top to open goals or easy stoppage ones. It's always pings from 40m out or set shots.

If only we could create more Joe the Gooses [emoji38]

Brown seems to have lost his ability for them overnight since playing AFL. Very weird. I thought such epic forward craft would have transferred over from VFL to AFL perfectly fine.

Yep. They’ve all had really good seasons considering how our game really isn’t helping them much.

I know we probably won’t do it but geez I’d like us to take the game on a bit more with forward handball like Richmond do.

Yep our forwards don't ever get a feast, I love what they bring to us but theres never any reward for them because we never just go all out attack

Seeing Spargo push into defensive 50 to help out is great, but he ain't teleporting up the other end for a Joe the Goose on the rebound sadly.

I think the strategy of absorbing pressure early and working the other team over in the 2nd half is more or less sound. It's what the Tiges did for years at their peak. Unfortunately we don't have the sheer leg speed to blow the game open in the 2nd half like they did.

Some fresh legs moving the ball forward would be great. As would Salem/Rivers breaking some lines at half back and Langdon getting his run and carry going again.

Thought I was on me pat Malone but went back and read and there was a few who agreed with me but 17 clubs right now are realising how bad a miss Stephenson is.
Kids a gun and Collingwood gave him away
I posted it somewhere towards the end of last season, we approached his management and had initial chat, but it went no where. That's before all the salary cap drama Collingwood had.

Stephenson is playing very well for what they paid for him, but i'd be worried if he can do it consistently over the rest of his contract.

His first year at the Pies when he had a point to prove was excellent as well.

While I was absolutely pro us trading for Stephenson I can understand us not doing it, far easier to take a risk on someone like that with character concerns when you're bottom of the ladder and have nothing to lose. Cant compare it to Bennell who we got for nothing on minimum wage.

really weird Collingwood getting rid of him tho, must be something there, such as on strike two of the drug policy.

Clearly every team should have been after him if they knew he was going to perform like this and keep clean off field.

He wasn't even that bad in 19 and while he was pretty bad in 20 I think it was over exaggerated. They only looked super bad because of how good his rookie year was, was still developing in his 2nd and 3rd years. Collingwood are stupid.

You don't give up on talent that young unless there is something else. Can't have been anything to do with form imo.

Fixed it for you. hahaha. Fu** off A11.

You'll never be part of a gang with behaviour like this you square.

You're cruising for a bruising. 👊

Saw him and Sidey getting stuck into the bags in a Collingwood bar in the off-season this year, just before he was traded.

Could be something in that

Be careful saying this sort of stuff around the TheDarkDwarf mate, I hear he's a snitch too.

betting on AFL matches and openly telling other players would make you think that he isn't the smartest cookie

if that's all it was then we are stupid for not trading for him
