Each to their own but gross. An empty MCG isn't an advantage anywayI’d rather home ground advantage in a QF and PF if we’ve earned the right. GF has to be in front of a crowd.

Cbf doing it properly but you can look at our form over the last 100 games by venue here:Attention: highly motivated individuals (not me)
Would love to know our record at the G, dome and interstate under Goody.
Thanks in advance.![]()

Would be shit for the spectacle I know, but I don’t care if it helps us make the GF in any way. If it drags Port, Lions, Swans, GWS to the G it probably helps us. Dogs, cats probably no gain for us. Anyway, let’s see what the AFL come up with. Each to their own but gross. An empty MCG isn't an advantage anyway
Zero chance of any finals in Melbourne, it’ll all be in Perth. It’ll also explain why they want to scrap the pre finals bye as it’s an easier sell to players if they hub for a maximum of 4 weeks.
Wasn't there talk that the pre-finals bye would be moved a pre-grand final bye to allow for people who might be able to travel.
I'll do a lot of things to get there but how hard is it! Don't know the date or location of the GF. Can't get into TAS or NT anyway even though in regional VIC. Only hope I see would be for regional VIC to be considered separate to Greater Melbourne, which we are internally in terms of lock downs but nor by the other states. I'm happy to drive to Adelaide or Perth, or fly via quarantine in TAS or NT if available. But not confident of anything.Somewhat related, Optus is the same dimensions as the G anyway.
Tracs played 123 since debut in 2016I think the dome would be clearly winning, wouldn't surprise me if interstate and the G are neck and neck or the G might even be ahead...probably a bit of recency bias in my thinking we are better interstate. Dunno.
And we do win a fair bit at the G, it's just usually in very unimpressive fashion compared to some of the road wins.
No doubt we play far better footy on the smaller grounds.
Don’t think we will even be allowed to travel over there at that stage tbh

MCG 28-1-29
Dome 9-5
Away 27-24
So better away than at the G haha

Even better, Adelaide and the Gabba we are 10-4Burn the G to the ground.
Thanks mate![]()

I hate the win percentage stats lol. If he took over and the start of Roos tenure his record wouldn't be as goodFun fact, Goodwin has never lost a game to either Carlton or the Gold Coast and has the 3rd highest winning percentage of any Melbourne coach who has coached over 100 games at 54.33%
Above him is Checker Hughes at 61.04% over 240 games and Norm Smith at 63.94% over 287 games.
